This is a mediocre decorative flame light bulb at best by LKQH
When I first received this item, it did not arrive in good condition. The packaging was smashed and the box and bulb were smashed as well. When I took the bulb out of the box, the white casing that fits over the filament had been smashed off. They were two separate pieces. I managed to snap the white casing back on the main filament housing. At this point, I really didn't think that it would work at all given its state. To my surprise, the LED E26 base 3 watt decorative bulb came on. Although, it does rattle like there is something loose inside the bulb. That can't be good. Depending on which power socket I use, it is able to rotate through its 4 light mode settings. However, the bulb itself is not very strong or bright. And, for me, the realism for mimicking a flame is just not there. For one thing, the light is just too orange. A flame also has yellow hues, and this item does not. So the color it puts out just does not look real and the way the flame moves is not that realistic either. It's okay. It will pass for an ornament type decoration. I believe that there are more realistic looking flame bulbs on the market. I'm not saying that it is all bad. That is why I'm going to rate it 3 stars but I really can't recommend this product.

great for decoration, little light output
We used this bulb in an outdoor wall sconce to create a more "antique" look outside the house. The gravity sensor works well and we had no issues with it being "upside down" in the sconce. Once installed, the bulb looks nice and the flame looks great however it does little to illuminate the area. From a brightness perspective, it's illumination is solely decorative and it works more as as an accent than a source of light. The only issue we ran into is that the plastic housing on the outside of the bulb spins freely which was a challenge as it was difficult to get to the base of the bulb when installing in the sconce. Depending on the type of receptacle you're installing this bulb, you are going to have to grasp the base of the bulb to tighten or the housing covering the bulb itself will just spin freely and never tighten.Overall we're happy with this bulb as an accent piece and like the look in the sconce more than a traditional bulb.

Nice effect
I wanted a soft light for a portion of my outside patio and ordered this light bulb. I ordered this bulb because it is flexible and has several different functions. You cycle through the functions by turning your light switch on and off. I was not able to try the "gravity (upside down)" mode but is there for those who have downward facing lights. Overall the bulb is of a white finish (not clear) so the effects are soft which I like, When we have people over, I can either use the soft flame flicker option or use the soft glow option which I like to provide a soft light glow to my patio which is what I wanted. One item of suggestion to the manufacturer is that I would eliminate the the "Breathing" mode, not sure why anyone would want that effect, but to each their own.

It Works
It arrived with the plastic cover coming off. It was easy to put back together and it worked. Looks good, but it’s not very bright. It’s ok for the price.

Almost...
I think you'll like this bulb as long as you don't hold any real expectations of the bulb looking exactly like fire. To their credit, in 'fire mode' this bulb is still pretty 'flickery' but without the distinct sharp edges that are synonymous with a lapping flame tip. It is very hard to get a still picture of the bulb that conveys the movement in it, but the designers came really close to a sort of muted fire representation. I did try all 4 'modes' by cutting the light off and then on again to change modes but there is really only one mode that simulates fire. It's a unique kind of bulb with a decent level of coolness and it will probably add a little pizazz to a Halloween party or the like.

Poorly made but it works
The light looks pretty good. It looks like a flickering flame and it flips based on the the orientation of the bulb which is pretty good. Turning it off and back on cycles through the different settings. That is where the good ends. The circuitry is all loose inside the bulb. You can hear it rattle around. The plastic casing is okay. Nothing special. When I took the casing off I saw the LED grid attached to a thin backing and it was already bent and a little goofy. The banging I heard when moving the bulb was actually the circuitry. I'm not sure how long it will last due to low quality parts and workmanship.

A nice look
This works well, adds a little touch to what can be a boring front porch, because it simulates a flame. It’s more of an orange light with a pulsating effect than looking like an actual flame. My wife likes it and now we have it for a unique look that the neighbors look at as they pass by.

Looks good
I wanted this because I keep seeing them on my neighbors houses and it looks so good. It’s not very bright, but that’s not an issue for me. The flame effect is pretty realistic
