Awesome
These work very well. I am using them in the Adirondack mountains and in very rugged terrain, with large amounts of iron deposits and the radio works well. GPS has many functions and works well also. I have only 1 small complaint. That would be, the compass does not work if your not moving. Would recommend to a friend and he now has one…

NEVER buy this model!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT BUY THIS MODELOur hunting group has used the Garmin Rino series for decade. I love the product and I'll continue to use them. The model 700 is Terrible! The maps on it sucks, you can't add any layers onto it. Basically all it has is highways, cities, and state lines. Additionally, my battery can't hold a charge; and when it's charging, a message is popping up ever 5 seconds saying that it's not charging. The message clears so fast that I can't click on it, but it pops up again 5 seconds later. AND if you don't have your GPS on silent while charging, every time the message triggers, the damn thing beeps and vibrates. It's ANNOYING AS ALL HELL!

Works great for me
Like the smaller size and weight of the 700 over the 750's, fits very nice in the hand. The radio seems to be very good and features like texting and position sharing make it a great product. The GPS side of the unit seems to be outdated and the same software is used on much older models. Don't expect any maps. On the other hand if all you need is marking waypoints and getting you back out of the woods, which is what I wanted, then it does the job. Wish it had replaceable batteries, when your hunting off road for days there's no way to recharge unless you carry a battery pack and again that adds more weight. If this unit had a color screen and replaceable batteries it would be the perfect unit for what I use it for. If you want maps its not for you.

Proof that all motion is not progress
Does not compare to to the 120. It’s so much heavy and bulkier. The non Removable battery is proof this is meant for the streets of NY than the back country. So many times I have needed to change batteries in the field to get out before dark. And If the battery dies in this thing well might be able to use it as a pillow to spend the night. The screen is not improved. It seems to have to be same functionality as units from early 2000s. The clip on the back made to look like a clip but only is where clip will attach making it super bulky. I am so annoyed just looking at it. I do like the sturdiness of the antennas. That is an improvement. And set up is automatic which is helpful for first use

Uses tracks
Nice gps. I just can't figure out how to use it. It doesn't have local road maps. It uses tracks.
