The media could not be loaded. There aren’t any instructions actually included in this door handle set which made it very difficult to actually figure out how to install. Everything needed is included which I managed to figure out in the end.The grub screw and Allen key work fine but be wary not to tighten too much as this restricts it from being quite springy and a loose handle.The screws which are supplied are the only ones which can be used as the cover won’t go back over other screws as they need to be so small, but they are very bad quality. a had 2 screw heads round off and it was very difficult to fit them in.The whole handle set comes with a new bar but not a locking mechanism, so I fitted it to an existing one in a door and it fit and works fine.Feels quite good quality, they’re a good solid metal and I’ve had them in a couple of weeks now and it’s working good. The screws are coming loose though as they haven’t got a good grip in the door unfortunately.

Great handles, great service!

These handles come in a compact box without a latch, and are a little lighter than appearances might suggest. They look like they are made from solid brass, but the only part that probably is brass is the knurled hollow cylinder. The rest, including the end caps, is brass-effect anodized aluminium. That's all right, in view of the reasonable price, and the good build quality. The handles are of the type that are fixed to a split square bar on either side, with the roses attached to the door only to provide the spring return. The fixing screws are concealed by a threaded ring.I fitted the handle set to an old solid door that has seen many changes of hardware over the years. The old tubular latch in the door does not have holes for through-fixings like newer ones, but I was able to use one of the two link tubes provided in the set in a position beyond the end of the latch. Wood screws are also provided, for alternative face-fixing of the roses. They can run into problems adjacent to the latch, due to the thinness of the wood and the proximity to the surface. The main fixing is into the slot in the square bar using the two pointed grub screws under the handles. An allen key is provided. The cover-rings on the roses cannot be removed completely with these handles, but it's possible to work around them.These are well-made and good-looking handles that work smoothly and with no looseness and are relatively simple to install on most doors, hollow and solid. The price of £18.99 seems fair.
