Love this set
Love everything about this set. The build quality is excellent. I love the larger size pots and pans this comes with compared to most sets. That and the pieces being stackable are the only reason I went with a set over going one piece at a time, as we're replacing all the non-stick cookware we've used for years. I have a 10" skillet from All-Clad that cost almost a third of this entire set. I don't notice a difference in quality or performance so far. These definitely perform better than the disc-clad stainless steel pots we have. Do make sure you learn how to heat them up if you're going to fry or sear, but for liquids they're dummy proof. We've only had these a few weeks, but they've all seen usage at least once and most pieces multiple times, including stove top and oven. The handles do an admirable job of staying touchable on the stove top. I do expect these to be the last pots and pans of their sizes I buy for at least a few decades. You can put them in the dishwasher, but we don't to make sure the aluminum core doesn't rust.If I had 1 suggestion to Nuwave, it would be to stamp or engrave the measurement lines on the inner walls of the pots like some other brands do. It's the only thing I miss from some of our non-stick pots. But it's not a huge deal and I knew these wouldn't have them when I bought them. To potential buyers, if you're replacing older pots, check if any lids you have fit these as you may want to have a couple extra on hand. We got lucky and had an extra lid for both sizes from pots we were replacing. Absolutely would recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality stainless set. I've been showing them off to the handful of people I know who appreciate such things.

Terrible
Not a nonstick product!!! This is the first use. Gotham Steel product is less expensive and is actually non stick. Do not waste money on this crap!!

Beautiful and Intimidating
First off: these pots and pans are HEAVY! Wow! I've never had a high-quality set of cookware before, much less a set that was entirely stainless steel, but I was really surprised at just how weighty each and ever piece of this set (minus the light-as-air lids) is. You're going to get some exercise, baby! But they are so gosh-darned pretty. I was (and perhaps still am) a little intimidated by them. I read up on the differences between stainless and non-stick (which is what I'm most used to), and I'm glad I did. I also read through the manual carefully and have it stored with my new pots and pans. It's a good piece of instruction to keep handy. So far, the greatest thing about this set of Nuwave Pro-Smart Cookware is that they nest beautifully and save a ton of space. I thought I was going to need a lot of room to store them, but they can be pieced together into two neat stacks. Some of the items are much larger than I'm used to working with, and since I only cook for two people, I haven't made great use out of all the pieces yet because they exceed my needs. I mean, it seems a little excessive to make a skillet of Hamburger Helper or Manwich in a heavy, large, stainless steel 12" pan. I feel like I could make an entire breakfast for two in one skillet, though, if I wanted to. I'll figure it out. They're too high-quality not to be used. I just need to be a little braver in my culinary endeavors.Aside from being extremely heavy, the only thing I'm not to hot on at the moment is that in the directions it says the cookware is designed to be used at lower heat. I don't find this to be true. I've made a few dishes that required liquid to come to a boil and then simmer. I have a glass-top stove, and I kept inching up the heat because it was taking forever to show any signs that a boil might be coming soon. As it turns out, I had to put it on high heat (say an 8 out of 10) in order for it to finally boil, which is the same as all my other pots. When it came to the simmering part, yes, a very low temperature was adequate, especially if the lid was on. Everything so far has turned out just fine, but I need to experiment more. The price tag for this set of cookware is pretty steep. I have no doubt that it is extremely high-quality and it has a ridiculously long (like 30-year) warranty, so that helps ease the pain of cost. I wish that the set came with a booklet of suggested recipes for each of the pots and pans, but it's easy enough to find that online. I'm really looking forward to searing some steaks! Oh, and another thing I love is that you don't need to be careful with the utensils you use to flip, stir, brown, etc. With non-stick, you can't use metal. This cookware is fairly indifferent to what you decide to cook with; there's not much that can really harm these pieces. Some good advice: preheat the pot or pan, and whenever necessary, coat the inside with a little oil to keep food from sticking. I haven't had anything stick yet, and clean-up has been a breeze.

Nice, heavy duty, stackable set
This Nuwave Stainless Steel 9-Piece Pro-Smart Cookware Set is very nice. Each pan has weight to it. I really like that the whole set can be stacked in 2 piles and that just 2 included lids are needed to cover every pot in the set. I also like the stay cool handles. The short handles still get hot and require a pot holder, but the long handles have been staying cool during our use so far.My favorite is the 9qt stock pot. I've been looking for a pot this size that is wide and squatty instead of narrow and tall. This pot is exactly what I wanted at 11.75" across not including handles, and 6" high.I also like the rolled edge lips on the pots which make pouring less messy.I don't like the rivets on the inside of the pans because it makes it harder to clean, but I'm sure it makes the handles sturdier. For some reason, the 2 pots with only 1 handle still have rivets on both sides which is annoying because from what I can figure it's only for looks. The included owners manual has good information in it. I recommend reading it. This set is Tri-Ply 18/10 stainless steel interior, 1050 aluminum core, and induction ready SUS430 stainless steel exterior. We are using them on a gas stove and cook all our foods without oil. (Google it...you don't need oil for cooking!) Cooking without oil requires preheating the pan to a temperature where a drop of water splashed on it will bead up and roll across the pan. The manual says to only dry heat the pans to medium-high and then be ready to cook right away. We may heat ours a little higher than that, I'm not sure, but found that we did get the rainbow effect on one of our pans after cooking. (pictured). Our other set of stainless pans do not get this effect so I read up on it a bit. The rainbow effect is caused by rapid heating and the chromium in the stainless steel which prevents rusting or corroding. From what I've read, it's harmless and the instruction manual has a section on removing this discoloration. I am not going to bother trying to clean if off since it'd just going to come back again. I'm not sure why my other 18/10 Tri-ply stainless steel pans don't get the rainbow effect and if it means they are better quality or not. I do know the bottom lay of my other pans is 18/0 which is not as good quality so maybe that makes a difference.Overall, I'm very happy with this set.

Has some unique features in all the cookware I have ever used.
I grew up with Mom using Revere ware pots and pans made from stainless with a copper bottom. I still have that set. This set is on another level. The uniqueness is first off that you can take this entire 9 piece set and stack them nicely together in only a two-pot space. You can see that in one of the photos from the manufacturer. Even the lids which there are only two afford you the ability to be used on the one of two rim size pieces. Now the finish. Okay 18/10 stainless is the top of the line in food grade, but this set really takes it to the next level. The finish is polished to such a high degree even a mirror would have a hard time competing with this finish. I almost don't want to use them; it is that beautiful. It is matched to a brushed stainless cooking surface on the interior. This is not a non-stick set so there isn't even any BPA free designation to contend with.I do have this handle design on some other pots I have and the fact that there is an opening where it leaves the pot enables less heat to transfer into the handle so no pot holder needed. When you do need a pot holder is when you are taking these from the stove top, and then into the oven. Even that base is ingeniously designed with a large offset paddle handle on the opposite side so when removing from the over for example you have ample leverage and plenty of room to get a secure grip. You can even toss these in the dishwasher. One other feature worth mentioning is the old Revere Ware has an abrupt edge with the sides of the pot end on the top. Not with this set, the pots have a rolled over edge, creating a lip so when pouring off everything goes where it should without the excess pouring down the sides of the pot. That creates a cleaner pot and a more professional procedure in your cooking technique. The thick aluminum cladding on the inside of the base, completely encased in 18/10 stainless guarantees that you are experiencing the ultimate in even heat distribution, while not taking any chances of cooking aluminum into your food. All in all, I would put this set up against anything else I have ever used, and it most likely would be on the top. The glass mirror finish which is way above all else makes that distinction unmistakable.
