Compact, high resolution, but not perfect.
Compact high resolution thermal imaging camera with autofocus and a couple of annoyances.1) It comes with a 10X Macro lens but the case isn't capable of holding the macro lens.2) Designed to be used with a phone, but the USB C plug isn't quite long enough to make a good connection if the phone or tablet is in a case.3) The fit of the USB C plug is a little loose in the device. It's not uncommon for the camera to lose connection if moved. I'm contemplating getting a couple of USB C Extensions to see if it helps. That said, the image quality is superb, the interface may take me a little to adjust to but it certainly performs well.

Lots of settings - android only - easy to install
I ordered this thermal camera not realizing it was for android only. I just saw smartphone. Thankfully, I do have an android phone as well as an iPhone. This little camera installed easily to my phone. The app works very well. The instructions for this device are weak so it’s taken me some fiddling with it to figure it all out. There are a lot of settings to choose from. The nightvision one is certainly interesting to use off my back patio at night. The thermal imaging is useful when looking for unwanted critters in my house.Overall, I think this is a very useful thermal imaging camera. I wish it had been for iPhone, but it’s my own fault for not reading.

Uncovering Hidden Household Mysteries
As a homeowner, this thermal imaging camera is already beginning to pay for itself. I got it because we want to improve our home's energy efficiency. We’ve discovered that it can be used for so much more. It’s fairly simple to use. You simply need to point the camera at the suspected area, and it will display varying colors representing different temperatures.Ways we’ve already used it:We used it today to find our new little kitten. I searched everywhere for her and was beginning to worry that she had gotten outside somehow. I attached the thermal imaging camera to my phone and started scanning room to room. I found her within minutes asleep behind a dresser.I’m using it to check all electrical gadgets and appliances throughout the house. That will take time, but I’ve already discovered that our older food processor has a defective cord. It could have started a fire at some point. We’ve also checked the circuit breakers. Luckily, everything was fine.Ways we intend to use it in the future:The thermal camera will help us detect heat loss around windows and doors, where cold air in the winter is entering the home. It’s summer right now, but when the weather gets cold, we want to keep all the heat inside. We are going to check all the electrical outlets. The thermal camera can spot overheating electrical wires or outlets.Last year, we had a problem with small rodents in the garage. If we find any droppings in the future, we can use this to discover where they are hiding.I hope that regular use of the thermal camera will help us catch issues before they become serious problems.

Useful
The media could not be loaded. I didn't know what to expect from this at first. But then I realized that I could use it when going to open houses while searching for our new home. It does take some time to get used to using this technology (for me at least), but I'm sure that I'll flfind many more uses for it. Kinda pricey, but if you're in the job area where you can use it a lot, it's very worth it.
