To desire a wicked duke
I have read the full set of books that go along with this one in soft cover, but for some reason always missed this one. I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Loved this one as much as the others.Tess is a wonderful heroin who is very strong and goes great with the duke character. Loved this story!

A good ending to a great series!
I have loved The Courtship Wars series and was not disappointed in the last book. I enjoyed Tess's story as I did all the books. I am ready to read more Nicole Jordan.

Nicole Jordan does it again
If you like the stories of the Loring sisters you definitely enjoy the story of Tess and Ian. Well written and humorous in the right places. Is a delightful read.

To Desire a Wicked Duke
I really enjoy Nicole Jordan's books, especially her love scenes. This book did not live up to my expectations. Myself, like many others have been eagerly awaiting Tess's story but I was disappointed. There was no real connection between the characters nothing that made me want to flip through the pages to get to the next scene. I believe that everyone deserves a pass, when something doesn't quite work, so this is my pass to Nicole for this book saying that, I am still looking forward to her next series...

Not My Favorite Novel By Nicole Jordan
I have to agree with the "one star" reviewer (Feb. 23, 2011). The heroine (Tess) was not likeable and the book went on and on about her charity work. In the previous books in which the heroine appeared, she seemed a sweet, grief-stricken young woman who was trying to overcome her losses (mother and fiance) by involving herself with teaching young women. Now that she has a starring role, she suddenly becomes this ascerbic, tart-tongued, argumentative woman who takes every opportunity to plunge her symbolic dagger into her (supposedly) devil of a husband's heart. Ian (the "Devil Duke") showed great restraint for someone who was reputed to be a heartless blackguard who cared only for himself. Yes, he (again I say "supposedly") felt a sexual attraction towards his wife from the beginning; however, Ms. Jordan failed to convince me that the two were attracted to each other in any way. She failed to make me "care" about what happened between the two. The main characters were very one dimensional and I quickly came to the point where I was rolling my eyes in frustration with Tess's responses to Ian's continuous attempts to reconcile her to the marriage. I, frankly, would have thrown up my hands in disgust and packed her off to Cornwall with the hardened (but reformed) courtesan and the silly "ghost." I'm sorry to say that the story was just flat. I know Ms. Jordan can do better than this.

Quick delivery
This book arrived quickly and in great shape. My wife has the rest of the series, so I had to get this one for her.

Not So Much...
This may have been the stupidiest book I've ever read.In the past I have enjoyed Nicole Jordan's novels, but this one, not so much....I will admit to not remembering very much of the history of the previous novels from this series, but this book just seemed out of left field.Tess was previously engaged to the Duke of Rotham's cousin who died 3 yrs prior to the novel, while in war, who apprently was not the man she thought he was. She had always been sexually attracted to the duke, since meeting him during her come out ball, but has never acted on it.At least until the opening of the novel when he catches her kissing an actor employed by her for one of her numerous charities (and the novel goes on and on and on and on and on and on about her charities), and then in a fit of jealousy kisses her himself and gets caught. Which means an automatic wedding the next day. Which seems rushed and stupid. He doesn't make her consummate the wedding at first, so there is a lot of sexual tension for most of the book. And did I mention the "ghost?"I skipped over most of the chapters in the book. A lot of arguing between the heroin and hero, an unlikable heroin, secrets that were not all that spectacular, and a stupid make believe ghost. Not worth the $6 spent for this.

nice but>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This one is much better then 'Taming a Dangerous Lord' for one it does not suffer from repetition so is an easy read and far more enjoyable.SPOILER where this series annoys me is the constant mention of that extremely annoying character of FANNY IRWIN a courtesan who apparently advises all of them on their love affairs .It was very frustrating because it made them all look like idiots not being able to handle themselves which was hard to believe .I mean why would a rake /duke experienced with the ladies ,as well as life run to a courtesan for advice? and the advice is 'tell her you love her'??????really ???that is where the author ruined it for me!she also does the same through out the series which make the story too predictable with nothing to anticipate .Plus this Fanny character does not know what to do when it comes to her romance????again really??we have just had her shoved down our throat in all the books as Miss know it all/really???the same GIVE AWAY THE PLOT did those summaries on top of the chapters totally gave away what was to be read ???again where is the excitement if you give the story away ???plus i think these stories would have been a success if the heroines were described through their action rather then us being told how to think about them REPEATEDLY!!!!it seemed forced.out of the series though Roselyn's story and Tess's were the best they could have been much better with the above issues taken into account.

A good read.
I enjoyed everything about this book - the characters, the story, and of course, the happy ever after ending. Parts might have been slightly predictable, but there were enough plot twists to keep thing interesting.
