Everything about this product feels high quality. From the packaging to the light to all the extras in the box, I just kept saying "How is this only $30?". I bought this solely for the ring light, flex arm, and super clamp and for JUST those things with the features they have, I'd be happy. But then there are some extras thrown in which just make this a really fantastic deal. The light works great with it's integrated controls, has a good range of white light temperatures and brightness values, and is a good size. The only thing not provided is a a power supply for the USB A plug, so you will need an old phone charger or or a computer's USB port to power it. Still, 10/10, would recommend!

Her needs were simple. She required an sturdy overhead camera mount and lighting solution. The sound is recorded by a stationary microphone with an exceptional recording ability of low sound.My issue out of the gate was shadowing from the ring light shining on the camera and casting a shadow. This was fixed by repositioning the light and camera, allowing the camera to record through the ring light and not vice versa. Once I figured out that you can configure this to be custom for your needs, it was simple to configure for her best set-up.The construction is excellent, and being a person who has a few items produced by Neewer, their quality is not ever a problem. I like that there is a really easy to use remote inline on the power cable of the light. This has controls on it that allow for dimming and changing the temperature of the lights. You can make these adjustments without any hassle. The boom connects to the table and is sturdy. The boom can support many different accessories, such as microphones, webcams, etc. The boom can be used for recording audio and you can connect adapters to fit 3/8" to 1/4" threads.This kit has many applications from overhead desktop recordings, to video conferences, to video casting. The light is bright enough to act as a fill and add a punch to your videos. The boom arm can be configured to your needs.I like the solid construction and I do not have any fears that my gear will fall off (yes, this happened with a cheaper quality boom when the clamp let go from the desk) and damage my tools. I like that it is one kit and you receive all you need, minus the video or audio recording devices. My Wife has been making her videos and they are amazing thus far. She needs a few more in the 'can' before she releases them to the public.All in all, this kit is excellent and it does exactly what I was hoping it would do. The customization factor is excellent, and I like that I can use this for many different use case scenarios. I do recommend this package because of the excellent quality, decent value for money, customization, and because it solved more issues than it created. Neewer stuff is always good quality and this boom arm is much stronger than others I’ve used, but it’s also a little bit stiff. I think there is potential here for customisation if you have other parts that will work with it. Otherwise it’s a shame that you can’t use the microphone and the phone and light all at the same time, it could really benefit from another attachment point.While it is good quality, the ring light itself feels flimsier than some I’ve used. So while the boom arm and components are better quality, the ring light falls a bit short. The instructions for assembly could also be clearer.However, it is very good for beginners and much better than many of the overhead filming gear I’ve used. Since it sits really sturdy once clamped and ones I’ve tried in the past tend to overbalance.For this reason, I can recommend it, but it would do better with some customisation.

I have long been familiar with the Neewer name for quality accessories for photography. The Neewer cellphone mount with a large ring light kit is well designed and well made. The cellphone is mounted on a flexible elbow stand clamped on to a desk edge. (A desk with a clampable edge is an absolute necessity.) The ring light is mounted on a gooseneck attached on to the upper arm of the ring light holder.The light colour and intensity are adjustable. With the flexible elbow mount and the gooseneck, the ring light and the phone can be positioned for desktop copying of documents, or photographing objects on the desk. With a little effort the combination of light and cellphone can be used for video talk.The desktop copying of documents and photography a remote trigger is provided. The stand and remote trigger prevent the blurring of images due to shaking hand when copying documents. Many functions of a desktop scanner can now be done with this Neewer kit.This is a quality product.
