MW polar Sliced Shiitake Mushrooms, 4 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I prefer cooking with fresh mushrooms, but these have been great in a pinch, like when I made a broth and tossed these in to make a kind of mushroom soup for a quick meal. I toss them into omelets, as well. There's not a lot of flavor right out of the can, you really need to saute and season them if you want them to taste like anything. But the price is right, less than a $1 a can. I bought a few and now have 'shrooms on hand whenever a recipe calls for them. Fresh mushrooms have to be cooked almost right away, so they're not always convenient. (They do taste better though!)

Not expired. Cans not damaged. We've not had this type of mushroom before. ... Good. No bad smell. Nothing on can about lead. Not sure why different from other buyers experience.

To me they didn't taste any different than regular canned mushrooms. If you ask my BF he will say they tasted better than regular.

I like the size. Just enough for one medium pizza. Little soggy though

The mushrooms were delicious HOWEVER what's stated on the label should be in LARGE BOLD PRINT verbatim. THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS LEAD. - GROWN AND PACKED IN CHINA.The can may be lead-lined or something... But it doesn't state how these mushrooms are packed with lead yet either way... It's a contaminate and a a deadly metal that causes neurological deficits particularly in children.I didn't see the label until after I ingested the mushrooms. Please don't buy these. Demand Amazon not allow anything especially food to be sold with lead or other lethal contaminates.***Note to Amazon*** Please be more weary of what is sold to your customers. Alcohol from Europe or other countries cannot be purchased via Amazon due to ATF (US Government) Regulations yet you bypass the Chinese tariffs or at appear to and allow Chinese products with lead to be sold to unwitting customers. Please do a thorough look-see through products sold via Amazon Prime & Pantry. Thank you. ***
