Brighter than I thought it would be.

Purchased for mother in law to use in her garage. She was immediately impressed with how bright it was, felt like daylight all the time.

Nice white light and fits lamp fine! Will see if outlives old incandescent bulbs.

Purchased for my husband's shop, which has high ceilings and one window. These lights are awesome for brightening the place up! They do make a sound, like a whirring fan noise. It would bother me. However, after initially noticing it, my husband says he doesn't even hear it anymore.

Lamps fail after a couple months. Better off buying a brand name lamp that the company actually stands behind

I USED THESE LIGHTS AS REPLACEMENTS IN MY GARAGE. THEY ARE EXTREMLY BRIGHT AND TWO OF THEM REPLACED 6 REGULAR BULBS. THERE IS A COOLING FAN THAT RUNS THAT CAN BE LOUD SO THEY WORK GREAT FOR A GARAGE BUT MAYBE TO LOUD FOR INDOOR USE. I ALSO FOUND THEY ARE DELICATE, WHEN I WAS MOVING THINGS AROUND I BUMPED THE LIGHT AND IT IS NOW BENT IN THE SOCKET. IT STILL WORKS BUT IS NOT STRAIGHT ANY MORE.

Wow, these are sooooo bright. I don't know what I was expecting for paying $30 per bulb, but I get it now. Totally worth it. I tried this in the house first because the office was a bit dimmer than I'd like, thinking this would be a marginal improvement. I was so wrong. I couldn't focus, it was so bright. I ended up dedicating these to the garage and porch light instead, and we light up the whole neighborhood.If you are wondering why the light looks a little funny, it is because the majority of the bulb is a heat sink to dissipate all the power it is using, and even has a small fan that blows air over it to cool it off. The fan can bother some people, but I think of it as cool; like a turbo in a powerful car.

These are so bright. I bought a million in all different sizes. I bought the largest one for my backyard and the largest one lights up about an entire acre like the sun if hung high enough. they all have tiny computer fans inside them to keep them cool but you can't hear them. im not sure how weatherproof they are but the one outside are covered from the elements just in case. they are so bright. you can't go wrong. Highly recommended.
