Does what it says on the tin. Fits lighting stands with pillar mount and offers a strong ball head ideal for mounting LED panels, flash etc. Provides good articulation for setting the lighting angle. Recommended.

These are well-made and rotate very smoothly and once they are locked, they don’t move.I recommend this product.

I got some lights at work but needed a mount that had variable tilt and pan. This was perfect and fit the light stands I had. Very well made.

These are fairly decent [light stand] mount adapters with reversible cold shoe plate attached to standard ball head that are well-made and well-designed with quality material, as often (but not necessarily the case unfortunately) expected from Neewer.Note that it's rated for 10Kg but I rarely seen mounts/adapters like these REALLY capable of their claimed weight, at least NOT in a permanent manner. I have no needs or desires to test the 10Kg claim so take what you will with your unique requirement and situations.The entire adapter can be dissembled into 3 parts; the mount adapter, the mini ball head, and the reversible/dual-purposed cold shoe plate. The mount adapter has 5/8" hole on the sides as well as at the bottom so it can be attached in either horizontal or vertical orientation.The ball head is pretty standard that requires no additional intro while the reversible cold shoe plate can be attached to the ball head in either direction with standard 1/4" screw and can be attached to nearly all other devices.It's nearly entirely made of aluminum alloy with the exception of the knob for the mount and the rubber padding between the ball head and the adapter. Both knobs are knurled which is good and is indicative of well design consideration which I do appreciate.It goes without saying that you can use this for anything you can think of as long as it can be attached it to via available, well, attachment options. I use it to attach a small LED light that's attached to a short metal rod/pole which itself is attached to a c-clamp on a shell. The other one is used to attached a small 24/7 self-recording security cam (onto local SD card) that's mounted onto a little metal rod attached to a light fixture.≡ ValueAll things considered, these are fairly decent light (or whatever you wanna use it with) adapter that's well-built, reasonably well-designed, and well-performed that suit my needs. They are somewhat reasonably priced at $44 (as a 2-pack) for what they provide and their overall build quality and usability.

I was astonished with how well these work. They are rated to hold up to 10kg loads and frankly if I fully tighten the knob I can hardly budge the ball head unless I really go with the intent of breaking something. The knobs are rounded unlike the typical T shaped ones, but they are nice and grippy and extremely smooth to operate. The knob can be used to a certain degree like a tension control but I don't think it is necessarily the intended way to use, but it really does help avoid equipment swinging too hardly when loosening.The light stand mount is removable and can be mounted either vertical or horizontally. The top of the ball head can also be flipped around to reveal a cold-shoe, and the design properly ensured that the 1/4" screw does not contact the base of the cold shoe, so for things like a flash unit you don't accidentally actuate it.Overall, when it comes to buying a good smaller form factor ball heads for accessories or even cameras, this is actually an excellent product and still a represents a great value. You can consider the light stand mount as a freebie!
