This is high quality paper at an excellent price. Other reviewers have said that it's difficult to separate the paper from the block once the painting is finished. I have not found this to be the case. There is one spot along the top of the page where the glue isn't present, and it's simple to start there and peel the page away from the rest of the block. I've been very pleased with it (once I figured that out!). It works well and, as I mentioned, the paper is high quality. I prefer using a block to avoid the hassle of taping, having paint leak under the tape, etc.

Phenomenal product, especially for the price (about 1/2 of Arches, the industry standard)! It’s 100% cotton and can take a beating. If you’ve only used cellulose-based paper, you’re in for a treat. You can work it much, much more without it pilling, and you can layer on colors and water with ease. It is pretty “thirsty,” and absorbs water pretty quickly.

Great watercolor paper block for great price. It socks a ton of water , great texture. I am only one year into watercolor and was using cheap paper until now, but after using thus paper i feel so called for to paint everyday and its so much fun

Paper is fine, I like it. Great value compared to Arches, for example. However, the 9x12” is NOT 9x12”; it’s a bit narrower at 8.3”. Pay attention to the size in the photo and not on the advertised size.

I have enjoyed using Baohong watercolor paper for the past several years now. It stands in quality along with Arches, Fabriano, Kilimanjaro (from Cheap Joe's).

Nice thick and great texture

This is nearly as good as professional watercolor papers that cost 3 times as much. Stands up to a lot of washes, lifting and glazing without deteriorating. Nice and heavy and doesn't buckle easily. I love the texture options. I've purchased in numerous textures and sizes, and will continue to do so, for commissioned paintings as well as fun paintings and cards, as the picture I've shown here.
