Superb piece of kit
Bought this to replace a Netgear ADSL DG834PN router. The router is positioned in the loft with a combination of wired and wireless network around the house including the ground floor and I'm afraid that the netgear just didn't cut it with the wireless side. The Belkin changed all that! Superb wireless connection throughout the house with fast throughput and stability being key benefits. It has worked faultlessly since installation, feeding 7 different devices including a bandwidth hungry PS3.Other people have said how easy it is to install and I concur, setup was the simple and pain free, everything worked and connected with ease. The interface is very simple to use if you want to keep an eye on the techy stuff that goes on behind the user.It is so good that I decided to add a PCI wifi card to a desktop computer rather than having a wire across a section of the floor. Sadly Belkin don't make such a card so I bought a dual band card from TP Link. This again connected easily with the Belkin and I have noticed no deterioration in transfer speed over the wire connection. So all in al, a superb piece of kit, easy to use, versatile and with very fast functionality. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic for the price!
I got this router today, I was also a lucky one to have paid just £40 for it by pre-ordering, right place right time. The box it comes in is fairly big and the router itself is fairly deep but also slim. It only stands upright too.I connected it up and updated the firmware of the router and modem, and I have to say it's working fine and the wireless is AMAZING! I have no AC compatible products but I use 5GHZ and 2.4GHZ on N and G bands, and over what I was using everything has improved a lot.My Xbox is the model with built in wireless N and where as before it got three bars that dropped to two, it now has three bars that INCREASE to four! My PSVIta also has a much stronger wireless connection. My MacBook Pro is currently getting 162mbps where as before it would vary wildly from 20 to 70mbps. And my Xbox and Mac are in the upstairs opposite corner to where the router is plugged in a pre-filtered master socket by the front door.It has QOS standards too and two USB sockets if needs be. I wasn't expecting the modem to be built into the power supply, but it works but it does make the power brick over sized but not in width. And as the power supply modem just plugs into the dedicated modem socket on the router, I imagine if you want you can use it as a non modem router like the regular AC1200 model.I have several wireless devices, don't use anything via ethernet, so this was a very good purchase for me, and for the ridiculous price of £40 I'm pretty smitten :) Would I have paid £240 for it? Probably not but I would have brought one of the cheaper Belkin models. It's a good future proof model with the AC standard too.If anyones interested in my household we have on the wireless:Xbox 360PS3PSVitaiPadiPhoneKindleSky TVSurround sound systemPrinterSo I highly recommend this product, I see it is hovering around the £100 mark in some of the Amazon stores and I would certainly buy it for that, it's far cheaper then the Netgear equivalent but I would imagine the RRP is around £250.

Should be No stars, Avoid wasting your money and buy different equipment
I'm using the brief period that this router is actually connected to the internet to come here and warn others away from buying this router. If you enjoy hard resetting things by pulling the power, then logging in via the IP address, then waiting 45 seconds for it to reboot and hoping this time it stays up for more than 5 minutes, then this is the router for you.The wireless connectivity has never been great and I was disappointed in the signal strength in comparison to the old G wireless router I had previously from O2. I thought that a dual band N router would be a step up but this thing has been a joke from the start.I live in an old Victorian terrace with solid walls but surely it should have worked better than the old G band router. From the moment I started using it I realised that nothing would stream properly to my phone anymore. Using youtube to listen to music made me feel like I was participating in a game of musical chairs. After 3 months of shonky wireless it started dropping the internet connection intermittently. I'd notice it in the mornings at first but it has been getting worse and worse. It'll give up the ghost soon I'm sure!I've signed back up for a broadband contract with one of the big players now just so I'll get a router included and stop having to use this thing.I cry when I think of the £90 I threw away on this piece of tat. It is completely worthless and anyone trying to sell one second hand for £50 after all the bad reviews is really chancing their arm. If the customercare@belkin chap wants to comment on this review then know now that all I want to know is where to send it back for a refund! I know I won't be buying anything Belkin again in a hurry.*Update* In the time it took to write this review I tried to post it and had again been disconnected from the internet >:/ . Less than 5 minutes of uptime! I think it may be an overheating issue so am trying the router the other way up to see if there is any improvement.
