The fan arrived on time and in good condition, but the box had obviously been previously opened and re-sealed. It was also missing 6 fixing screws, a cable clip, 2 cable clip screws, a gromet, and rawlplugs. Amazon offered me the chance to return it, but I declined and instead accepted a partial refund, as at the time I had noticed only the lack of fixing screws, which I thought I could source myself.It was only later, while installing the fan, that I discovered the other mising parts. I then found that the iris made a loud clicking sound at the end of its opening cycle. Then I noticed that the iris would not close properly at the end of the cycle. I suspect this was the reason the previous owner returned it.I contacted Customer Services again and after a bit of confusion they sent a replacement the very next day. I'm therefore upgrading from the initial 2 stars to 4 stars - 1 star lost because they initially tried to palm me off with an incomplete pre-opened item.I'm now extremely happy with the fan, which is much more effective -- but slightly noisier, as the manufacturer clearly acknolowledges: 36.2 dB vs 32.4dB @ 3 m -- than my previous iCON 15S.

I bought second time very happy with extraction, but really very noisy. First time I bought without letter S much more better and cheaper. Second my purchase is with letter “S”. I can not believe how can be noisy. Unbelievable. I put in the shower. In the future I will bought cheaper the same company items. Thank you

It works. It capture the essence when my boys are using the bathroom. I can set how long I want it on for after they leave the bathroom. I can set it to come on based on the humidity level. It can also come on when we switch the bathroom light on. What can I say, versatile, cost effective and a lovely aired out bathroom. I do not have to worry about any smells in the bathroom. Powerful and quiet, plus looks good 👍👍👍

This is an extremely noisy fan, at very high price. We have had several over the years which have all broken, but have to be replaced with this same fan, due to the larger 160mm hole you have to cut to install it. The fan appears to suffer from vibration issues and the cover also rattles, which produces an unacceptable level of noise. Yes, it shifts air, but it also sounds like a rattling old plane taking off. Unfortunately, the AirFlow technical department have been less than helpful. I wish I had bought something else.

The noise doesn't bother us as we know it's doing the job it is intended for

This is a great fan for my downstairs bathroom. Runs quietly and there is a delay before running which means it doesn't come on when you pop in the bathroom for a quick moment. Make sure you check if you need the 12v or 240v if you are upgrading from an older fan.The auto vent cover remains closed when not in use which reduces heat loss and wind noise - this is a great additional feature

Noisiest extractor I've ever heard.It is very quiet if you test it prior to install.As soon as you install it and it touches the ceiling/ joists it'll vibrate your house.I could hear this thing 3 rooms away. Was shocking. Of course by the time you've installed it you'll have cut a 16cm diameter hole in the ceiling and all other fans require a 10cm diameter hole. Ended up replacing this with a vent axia fan ( half the price) and works great.I wouldn't recommend this fan to anyone
