Amazon provides misleading product pictures
I wanted to buy a black backpack. Looked at the photos and odered color "raven". To my surprise I got a dark-olive one (photo).Dear Kelty and Amazon Staff, please do google "a raven".Backpack itself is not bad, but totally not worth the initial price - roughly Osprey and Deuter range, but the quality is avarage.

Great UL daypack
I love this pack. Waist straps are great to secure pack when I go biking or bouldering and easy to tuck away for hiking or using hauling the kids stuff around at the zoo. Great ventilation on the shoulder straps and comfortable to wear all day. Love the way water bladders fit into this. Great organization and easy to get to pockets. Overall great pack. Glad u chose this over the marmot kompressor.

Buena mochila de día.
Una mochila perfecta para salidas de un día muy cómoda si no se lleva mucho peso dentro y la chaqueta se puede enganchar fuera sin problema

Great lightweight day pack or minimalist overnighter
After a lot of research I couldn't make up my mind between a few lightweight day packs for scrambling around the Texas canyon-lands and decided to take a chance on this pack over the Marmot Ultra Kompressor. While the latter has a ton of great reviews, I liked some of the features (and the looks) of the Kelty and figured it was worth a shot. Turns out, I'm pretty stoked on it. I'm 5'7" and pretty muscular and this pack fits well, although I have the chest strap cinched down all the way. If you're a tiny little waifish thing, don't expect that strap to be too snug. I needed small enough to be easy to carry and big enough to do an overnighter, haul extra stuff for the kids and dog on day hikes, and carry a bunch of water. (It gets HOT around here and water isn't easy to come by) I also wanted some pockets for organization and some ventilation for the back. This pack fits the bill for all of that pretty well. I can carry a 3l liter hydration bladder in the back and easily cinch in two 32oz bottles in each side. If I'm not needing the bottles, the side pocket straps cinch the bottom of the pack pretty well. The kangaroo pouch external pocket has some depth to it, which keeps small items secure and the top external pocket is a good size for quick grab items. It's easy to just reach over my shoulder and get to it without removing the pack. The internal pocket in the main compartment is alright, but not great. It a little shallow and the divider that separates it into two sections doesn't seem to go high enough. Still useful though and I appreciate the added organization. The two pockets on the shoulder straps are great and I use them for all kinds of stuff. Perfect size for a phone, snacks, knife, small rodents, etc... The waist straps are good for keeping the pack secured to me while scrambling through rock gardens and up and down canyon walls, but aren't load bearing which is fine for this size of a pack. I like the fact that they are storable and I don't have to screw with rigging them up if I'm not using them. That actually is one of my favorite things about this pack... no straps dangling everywhere! Sleek, unobtrusive, good looking, comfortable and is holding up like a champ. No ice axe loops, but I'm in Texas so who cares? Tracking poles can be lashed to the sides with the compression straps. The little loop at the base is for a bike blinky thing I suppose, but I usually hook a carabiner on it and modify an extra carry space. For me, the 22 is a bit big for mountain biking, but would probably make a good commuter pack if you haul a bunch of crap around and like blinky light things.Besides the small gripe about the inside pockets, my only (minor) gripe is that the back panel bulges out with a big 3l hydration bladder and pretty much negates the venting to my back. Not too big of a deal...when it's 100 plus outside you're going to sweat like Trump in a tanning bed anyway. Good value, good style, and a winner in my book. It will be headed down to the jungles of Mexico soon and I'm thinking it will be a good carry-on and day pack in that context as well.Really pleased with this little ruck. I dig the green, but would have picked up the brown if it was available. I'd give it 5 stars with a little tweak to the inside pocket and back panel, but that's just because I'm being a little anal retentive about things.
