Best dog chew bone in the game! 😎
Licorice can't get enough of the BetterBon! It's perfect for his teething, and I love that it's all-natural and eco-friendly. No more worries about harmful chemicals or splintering—this chew is safe and healthy. Plus, the dental benefits are a huge bonus! Highly recommend for any pup parents out there!

Good alternative chew for dental issues; a bit messy and pricey
Our pittie mix is a rescue with missing and worn-down teeth, so he has trouble with some of the Nylabones and Benebones (the latter being my usual go-to). He’ll start to chew on them but gives up pretty quickly.BetterBone was a new brand to me, and the Classic Beef turned out to be a solid alternative. He chews on it much more happily, more often, and for a longer amount of time. He seems to enjoy the flavor as well as the textured ends, which look like they’ll be great for keeping plaque off the teeth he still has! The bone flakes do kind of get everywhere and they stick to soft surfaces, making clean-up a bit of a pain, but it’s still better than worrying about dangerous splintering. I’d discourage your dog from chewing it on the carpet, though.I like BetterBone’s detailed description of their product and their sustainability ethos—I’m sure it’s at least to some extent about marketing, but it worked on me! Minus one star in part for the price tag, which puts BetterBones outside the budget of a lot of folks who would love to give their dog a quality, sustainable chew. I do recognize that the price point may reflect the higher costs of exactly that quality and sustainability, but these kinds of products shouldn’t be the exclusive providence of owners with larger wallets. Plus, for the Classic type at least, the bone’s relative softness means that it’s not going to last as long as other chews, requiring more frequent purchases.I also wish the BetterBone came in a medium size. My pup is around 50 lbs, making the small size *too* small, according to the company. The large one is a bit big/heavy for him, however, and I feel like he would be able to hold on to it better with a size in between.Overall, though, I’m a satisfied BetterBone newbie and would recommend giving it a try, especially for your canine family members who may have difficulty with other types of chews.ETA: I’ve now seen a few pieces come off the bone that are larger than just “flakes.” They don’t seem sharp or anything, and the company’s FAQ (available on their website) states that it’s safe for the dog to ingest pieces of the bone “in small quantities.” My dog seemed uninterested in eating them anyway, but if your dog is a hoover, I’d keep an eye out for the pieces and pick them up diligently.

BROKEN in 4 mins 🙄
My dog is 9 mths. And he LOVES his bones and toys but he rips them apart in a day or two! My husband suggested that I spend a little money on a really strong bone instead of the Walmart cheapies and so I did and what a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT 😔

Big dogs love it! SO glad to have found this!
I have two big dogs, a 6 year old GSD (Luna) and a 1 year old husky mix (Nyx). The vet told us to take away all the roasted beef knuckles we had let them chew on because it was damaging Luna’s teeth. We tried fresh raw bones but they were such a stressful messy disaster. They weren’t interested in the plastic bone “alternatives” and I didn’t blame them, who would want to chew on gross plastic?? So when I found these I was very excited to try because they seemed sturdy but were made of materials I recognized and understood as digestible. My dogs LOVE them. They strongly prefer the beef flavor but they just go nuts with these when new ones arrive. It satisfies the urge to chew (especially in Nyx; she was destroying books and furniture because she had nothing else satisfying to chew) and is a great anxiety relief and energy release. These are strong dogs with strong teeth so the chew definitely flakes off and starts to look scraggly pretty quickly but we’ve had no issues with splintering or big chunks breaks off or anything. They like the satisfaction of making “progress” on the bone and being able to really dig into it with force, and I’m satisfied because I know it’s not damaging their teeth or my possessions lol. Highly highly recommend! I’ll be a BB customer for life.

NOT for aggressive chewers
I received this in the mail today & within 4 hours of giving it to my 1 year old mixed breed dog, I had to take it away from him. I checked on him off/on and then BOOM, he managed to chew a huge piece off of the one side.I have included pictures of the bone beside a 16.9oz water bottle for size compare to see how much he was able to destroy. I have searched for the “piece” that is gone to make sure he didn’t just chew it off and haven’t been able to find it. We are now on “potty patrol” to watch for it to pass without any issues. This might be ok for a smaller dog/breed, but my 50 pound dog did a lot of damage in a short amount of time, so I would use with caution. I included a picture of my dog as well to show he isn’t even a “bully” breed.

Molly's Favorite
These bones are by far Molly's favorite, she can't get enough of these bones. The classic "soft" is definitely not suited for her aggressive chewing style, but I like to get one every now and then cause she loves to chew it non stop till it's gone. For the heavy chewers id recommend the "tough" better bone. Definitely highly recommend for the lighter chewers out there. For the heavy chewers id highly recommend the the "tough" bone which is what Molly usually chews and that bone stands up to her aggressive chewing.

Bigger than expected and hard to chew,
The dog bone was bigger than expected and our 60 pound dog has difficulty chewing it. It is too hard. It is durable but our dog prefers other chew toys than this one.
