Mp3 recorder.
This is a cheap but very versatile and useful piece of equipment. It is not just a turntable that converts records to mp3 , you can connect many audio source devices to this converter and put a memory card for example with material on and add text on your phone without a computer and play it using bluetooth. You can also use a computer if you want. You don't have to use the turntables built in speakers either , connectivity allows the use ofcomputer type speakers. This is a machine which is cheap in price but I think you can have a lot of fun capturing musicfrom the radio or just about anything as an alternative to downloading.

Great for converting to MP3, Very Tinny Sound From Integral Speakers
This loses two stars because the sound from the built in speakers is so tinny it is horrible and makes records sound unlistenable - even listening to record to MP3 was painful. It's my own fault - I read the reviews that said this, and thought that it wouldn't matter because I'm no music aficianado and loads of other reviewers thought the sound was fine. I'm assuming they hooked up pre-existing speakers to it, because I was really wrong. I have a cheap digital radio that has much better sound than the integral speakers on this. I've now got a £45 subwoofer thingy by logitech hooked up to it and for me that is problem solved. For recording to MP3 format it works perfectly and is simple. If your records are slightly warped or have even the slightest scratches, you'll need to weight the arm with a 2p piece or something, but that isn't a problem. If you are really into your music and want to use this to listen to your records regularly, you might prefer a more expensive turntable from the get go.

Good for the price
Good for the price. I think it would benefit greatly by having a manual arm lifting mechanism so that the arm could be lowered on to the record in a controlled way. My old fingers aren't as dexterous as they used to be and a couple of times the arm has slipped off and bounced on the record. My old Dual deck had one of these lifting levers and it made life so much easier when putting aa record on. Apart from that minor criticism, everything else good.

For the price, the quality is excellent. My son has been without a record player for some time now and was more than enthused when he opened this as a gift. Sound quality is great and have had no complaints thus far

Poor sound quality, no bass whatsoever.
I am wondering if there is a pickup problem or the MP3 encoding software isn't up to it, but the recorded MP3s are really poor quality even when played through a decent amplifier, I had read the reviews and wasn't worried about the comments, thinking that it would be the speakers on the unit which let it down, but the sound is just as tinny through a proper amplifier and speakers, no bass whatsoever even when compared to MP3s I had taken from my old record player wired directly from the pickup head. I may have to return it if no suitable solution can be found.

Great fun and great value for money
Got this for my 22 year old sons xmas. He loves marillion so I got him some nice picture discs to play too. He loved it. This wee turntable does what it's supposed to. Not very loud but I didn't expect it to be. Lots of fun and reminiscences had over the festive. I'd recommend to anyone.

Three Stars
Good player but did not like the sound quality. I have connected external speakers and is better now.
