Kitty Mansions Redwood Cat Tree

I could not be happier with this tree. Here's my story.After looking at ridiculous prices and bland styles in pet stores and online, I finally turned to Amazon. This one caught my eye, but me being an ever-so-cheap cheapy cheapskate, turned my nose and continued the search. Well after reading terrible reviews on countless cat trees I finally came back to this one. Since it has mixed reviews I was slightly wary but I figured it's returnable, it was before Christmas and what the hey I'll just get it. I got it from some guy who brought it to me in a penske pick up truck (seriously that's how it was delivered). Anywho it was simple enough to put together and it does not even look cheap. I will say it is a bit wobbly when she runs full force into it but it's pretty sturdy overall. She loves the beds although she usually is in the one on the right. She spends about 80% of the day sleeping or climbing up the posts like a monkey. And the hidey hole, oh she just loves to play with her ball in there. Speaking of balls I thought for sure she'd rip off the attached ball quickly but it's still there. I went to the pet store the other day to get fish food and as I was passing the cat section I couldn't help but laugh at the paltry options and price stickers. This tree is just fantastic, you have to get it.

I absolutely LOVE this! It's so tall. It's funny because I tried cancelling it almost immediately after ordering it, but it had already been processed for shipping. It's perfect for my adult cat. He is about 15-16 lbs and fits comfortably on this. It's very sturdy and tall enough to keep our dog from bothering kitty while he's sleeping. I love that he fits comfortably in the box. I didn't think he was going to use it, but he loves it and the little window. He's also been amused playing with the leaves. I do agree with what another reviewer said about the ladder. It's just too steep and there was no landing for my full size cat (see last pic), he kept using our entertainment stand next to it to get down. He has claws, so I'm sure he could manage, but I moved the support from the bottom to the middle section and it works so much better for him. Overall, I'm really happy with this kitty mansion. It looks nice, it's sturdy, great for adult cats, and you can change the layout to suit you. I might take the top 3 beds off if he doesn't use them, just to make it a little shorter. Update: I put a blanket on the second level and my cat sleeps on it regularly. He has no interest in the other levels and will only sleep up top if we place him there. He also uses the scratching posts regularly, which is great because he stopped ruining my leather couch.

GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT! Beware & check ur product. Even tho came with hole/defect on our ladder carpet & 1 sisel rope wasnt on tight we kept & love it. Make sure u brush all the soft parts of item to get loose material n debris off. U def do not want ur cat licking off & up that fluffy material! I do wish there was more of a ledge on top of ladder for cat body/4 paws to fit. It is just barely enough to GRAB onto w nails for our bigger girlz. So no real surface to get to those upper level scratchers. 1 of ours has arthritis in her paw/s so she cant get up like her sister on tiny ledge just by her claws. bummer! Also 2 side top beds are too tiny for 11lb+ Adult cats. U can put beds anywhere tho the screws are universal. THAT US A GREAT FEATURE I LOVE! I'm thinking of removing ladder & put top or side bed w post in its place. Then maybe turning hideout box so there's room to jump up. We have it modified now just by having bed right on top of the squarish hideout with no post between them. GREAT & I LOVE that we can do that! 2 girls LOVE THE TREES & so far neither has chewed anything off! Glad I spent a lil more $ & got this. Get many compliments. You dont "notice" it! <3 it & was so easy to put together. Skiddish cat lives up there seems comfortable observing the world & now we can pet her more freely. :)

Details: 1. First of all, how is " Easy " defined here? I'm a retired Senior Captain pilot type so I really don't think I'm that dumb, but it took me over an hour to put together. 2. Put all your pieces out front, count them, then figure out from the picture diagram where they go BEFORE trying to assemble this thing! I didn't do that and there's one screw left over and I still can't figure out where it goes! Also, screws are different lengths so be sure they go exactly where they belong. But you don't need any tools, 2 Allen wrenches come in the box. 3. This is a really sturdy item! I can see many years of enjoyment for cats. 4. I got it for a kitten because sometimes our 95 pound Rottweiler forgets how big she is, and our kitten at time of getting this thing is about 2 pounds at best, but very active and a great climber! 5. I'd say it's closer to 70 pounds! But then, I'm 70 years old and it took awhile to move the box into our living room from the porch. All in all a great value, and I'm betting it has room for 4 to 5 cats.

Purchased on sale for $116.00. Was extremely happy with the look. Very sturdy, love the colors and material, pretty easy to put together. It took me about 45 minutes due to the sometimes unclear picture instructions. Only real downfal: When I screwed one of the seats onto the pole, it broke the threaded screw right out of the pole it attached to. I didn't even tighten it down hard. I would imagine With a call, the company would send new parts; I just haven't bothered. My 2 cats took instantly to it and use it everyday. After the holidays I'll call the company. Even with the mishap, strangely enough, I'm happy with the product overall.

I fear I won't be brief, I am too impressed. They shipped the item FedEx, so it came to my apartment door rather than being left in the lobby. Awesome. The quality is excellent. The fabric is rich, thick and very soft, not cheap carpeting. I was actually impressed. It has a sheen that makes it even look good. The parts that are wrapped to encourage climbing or clawing are well glued and uniform. The wood used to construct everything is sturdy and solid, not fortified cardboard, (except the two pieces on the side of the little house, but they aren't meant to bear weight.) Once together, the kitten climbed it immediately. THIS THING IS STURDY. My five year-old couldn't knock it down, (not a guarantee nor recommendation), and she climbed on it. Finally, I don't want to give this Cat Tree all of this credit, but my old cat has wished nothing but trauma for the new kitten until this went up. They played together for the first time once they were both on it. My only suggestion would be to include some assembly instructions with the diagram for people who aren't visual. But the diagram was enough for my husband to easily put it together.

Unit had all the attributes of what my cats could want. Unit is made from heavy pressed board not plywood. Union assembling unit two of the posts were defective. Unable to attach one of the beds to the cube and the cube to the unit. Contact the seller for replacement parts, waiting for a response. That being said, although the unit is in 2 pieces, so far my cats are enjoying it. They did chew up part of the vine/leaves and swallowed some of the plastic, I just removed them. The unit is sturdy and only wobbled when they jump off from the uppermost top perch. Once the replacement posts arrive and the unit is completely assembled, I am confident that it will become the cat tree that all of us envisioned and will enjoy. I will update this information as to the outcome of the seller's timely/satisfactory and or unsatisfactory response. Once it is resolved.

I am super happy with cat condo! It's the perfect size for all 3 of my babies. It was easy to assemble (a lil help) as long as you follow the instructions closely. The color, its sturdy (even for my 15lb cat, who it took 3wks to finally warm up to the new kitty condo.) The leaves work for nice decor. although they fight for the cubby it doesn't shake and didn't need to be nailed into the wall. Thats why 5 stars across the board. Whoever designed this I am going to assume knows a lot about cats! And for this cat mom it means a great deal & I Thank them for the color, sturdiness, my happiness that it hasn't fallen (like others) And keeping my babies safe is important.
