This is a nice comforter for the price. It is sized appropriately for a King size comforter and has a decent amount of filling, which will make a duvet cover look like nice and not flat. The one downside is that the material used for the duvet insert is not very breathable and this was first noticeable upon opening the package and seeing a shine to the material. That being said, it’s a good backup duvet insert or for use in a guest room.

The media could not be loaded.  I really wanted to like this and was excited to receive it. However, the queen duvet wasn't what I expected from the product pictures and listed price point. It was a disappointing experience both receiving it (and discovering the quality of the materials) and using it. After trying to sleep through the night with this duvet insert inside one of our cotton duvet covers, I would not recommend this insert unless you don't like blankets.The duvet's exterior material is similar to the durable polyester/nylon that is used for sleeping bag shells: it is slick, glossy, and makes a bit of noise when it rubs against itself. The exterior shell is *not* the microfiber that is commonly used in bedding (i.e. soft pliable cloth that is warming), as the pictures and product title might lead one to believe. This material shouldn't be so much a problem when it is inserted into a duvet cover with the ability to make use of the insert's sewn-in straps for each corner, as this would prevent the duvet from slipping around and minimize insert-on-insert noise. Unfortunately, our queen cotton duvet covers do *not* have such ties and, without the benefit of static electricity, the duvet insert slipped around inside as the cover was adjusted.The insert is composed of lightweight, poofy material, which is good for folks in warmer weather in *times* of warmer weather (or again, for folks that run hot and don't like blankets). We live in Southern California which is has fairly temperate weather but in early January it has been down to the low 40's and this duvet did not keep us very warm as there were a lot of spots where it didn't have the weight or coverage (due to inside slippage) to keep out the cold air drafts, particularly around our feet. Adjusting it was very cumbersome since it was so poofy and sliding around inside the duvet cover.The included tags indicate that it is 100% polyester and that it is *NOT* machine washable and should not be machine dried or ironed.

Really nice duvet insert we bought to replace our old one. It's thick and heavy in a good way; very warm and comfortable especially for the winter. It might be a little too warm for our summers.The outside is a synthetic material so you'll definitely want to use a duvet cover. It stays firmly in the cover and doesn't wander around like our old one.Great duvet, especially for the price!

Some of the things that I like about the insert: it’s not particularly heavy, which is a positive because I live in the south. And too heavy = too hot at night. The polyester piping is nice and the color is bright white. Cons: The outside material is quite soft but perhaps a little “slick” and my fear is that the insert may move around a bit too much in the duvet itself. There are tiny “rings” that some duvets can tie into which will insure that the insert stays in place.Even though I ordered the Queen version, it may not quite wide enough to completely meet the side edges of some duvets.

Great quality, lightweight duvet. Silkier than I though it would be but makes for a very cool night's sleep. Edges are seamed well and it has solid tie straps in all four corners to help get it in and keep it straight in the duvet cover.
