No control know for heat plate
Works fine, just wish I had a control for the heat plate. It's either on or off.

Does what it says, heats up quickly.
I will have to say for $50, it does exactly what it says it does. No heat adjustment, but that couldn't be expected for $50. The heating plate heats up to about 290F degrees if any one is curious.

Perfect for diy ejuice
Was going to buy the nitecore mixer but glad I chose this one for its stronger motor. Mixed 240ml 100% vg blend in 500ml flask at highest speed. Takes around 15 minutes to get to the temperature sweet spot of 120-130°F. At that temp the vortex begins and I clip the heat off and slow speed a little to reduce splashing. Bought a digital thermometer to monitor temp. Very pleased with this mixer after mixing x4 240ml batches. Looks very well made and after a few uses i no longer needed to use the thermometer. I could tell just by the vortex how hot it was getting. Only complaint is that one of the rubber feet on the bottom was a little scuffed off and made the unit a tad unbalanced sitting on the table but for the price, a piece of electrical tape can fix that.

Pure JUNK
It stirs but the heating element is either ON or OFF no temp setting. It will either burn your stuff or not get it warm/hot enough. No Heat setting. The stir motor also makes noise cause the magnets connected to it are out of balance so the motor shouldnt last long because of the out of balance.

You've found what you need, as long as you have realistic expectations.
You've arrived at this product listing. You have been looking, specifically, for a hotplate with magnetic stirring. You know Cornings cost hundreds of dollars. This one costs more than ten times less. You think, "Too good to be true," but open the product page just in case it's the deal of the century. The reviews suggest that it's too good to be true.I actually do chemistry, so Cornings are not seen as special or expensive, they are seen as baseline. A chemist would grab one for a reaction as you would grab a flyswatter or a pitcher of water. However, when I purchased this over a year ago, and at $20 USD more, it was still a good deal. Let's be very upfront and realistic. This is not a Corning. What it does do similarly is heat up, and provides for mag stirring. The extent to which it does so is the thing you want to know. If you know you need a high-performance heater, you already know you aren't in the right place, because you aren't going to find an adequate heater for cheap. You already know this, so stop wasting time like I did last year, stop browsing these cheapie product pages and go ahead and drop three or four hundred for what you need. You already know you're not going to find what you need here, and you're just going to be another reviewer leaving 1 star, expressing total bafflement at the product not meeting your expectations, anyway. If you need something that does warm stuff up and does stir, holy cow, is this an unreal deal. It does this, and better than expectations. It routinely boils 70-80 degree C liquids by simply immersing a flask filled with liquid to be boiled into a bath of water made hot by the heater. It does the same if you place a flat-bottomed flask directly onto the plate. It does not boil significant amounts of water, for me, but does get it well into the 90 degree range. The stirrer turns and is absolutely adequate, providing fairly strong stirring with a satisfactory variety of speeds. I have used and abused this piece of equipment over the past year for menial tasks (since is emphatically is NOT high performance) and I cannot express how happy I am to have such an instrument for such a low cost. This now costs $20 USD less than I paid for it last year, and it was a good deal then. It is therefore a good deal now. And if you receive a defective unit (mine has not failed to meet my expectations a single time, but other reviewers make it sound like it happens all the time), then return it and get another, and another, until you get a good one. This is Amazon, they're pretty used to returns by now.

Great choice for the price👍🏻
For the price you have to say that this is worth the five stars. You probably won’t find another mixer/heater like this for $40 plus change. I use it in making perfumes. I don’t need something to get terribly hot. However, the other reviewer was right I got right around the same temp when I left it on for a hour. Also, I’m not trying to mix crazy thick stuff like VG/PG. However, it will turn a concrete into a liquid rather quickly (that’s if you know what you’re doing.) I think this item is exactly what it’s described as and nothing les or more.

Updated: after about 14 total days of use, motor died. Also: Tech specs review
******UPDATED REVIEW, AFTER HAVING IT A FEW MONTHS, AND 14 TOTAL DAYS USE*******The motor is almost dead after about 14 24-hour long tests. The position of stirring was about 1/5 speed (somewhat slow). Now the motor won't turn unless I stick something under the plate to help it get going, and then it will, though weakly. My other unit (have two of these) is still working fine, and has about 1/2 the amount of time under it, so fingers crossed. I do think this is unfortunate though, and I'll likely look for a brushless DC motor to replace it soon. Get what you pay for, I suppose.******BELOW IS MY FIRST REVIEW*****Great little unit, especially for the money. Appears to use a DC motor to spin two ceramic magnets under the plate. The heated plate is heated almost under its entirety, by way of a rectangular grid of nichrome wire which is powered directly off the wall voltage (so 120vac) from within the unit, with the heating switch controlling the current on or off. In my case, the heating element brought 100 ml to a boil, which was too hot, so I'm looking to intercept the circuit and add in a temperature controller. The RPMs are controlled by a potentiometer which then affects the DC output of the circuit, so basically quite variable, but no way to know exact rpms. Very happy with all of it, except would be nice to control the temperature output.... I did go ahead and cut the case and installed a 120v temp controller purchased here on this site or on the fleabay.

Simple, but effective
Without the ability to control the tempreture beyon On/Off it's difficult, even dangerous, to walk away from this while the hot plate's in use, but if you don't need to hold the formula at a constant temperature or you're not specific about the accent or cool down time it's a great product. Sable, strong stirring action and wide base allow for long slow stimulation and quick mixing alike
