Review: Easy to follow. - He loved it. Review: Great for the beginner or intermediate player looking to improve sight reading. - I like this book as it perfectly fits my needs. I am a beginner \ intermediate player i.e. I can play grade 5 tunes by memory but my sight reading is poor so it takes months to learn more advanced pieces. What I really want and need is to improve my sight reading so for that I need cut down basic popular songs I can practice every day - this book provides just that. I think the versions are too basic for more advanced players but for me they are perfect and I find it more interesting reading popular rather than classical tunes. I know some people complained about the tight binding, tbh I just use clothes pegs to pin it to the piano and it solved the problem!

A move on from beginner music
This only arrived today and I was super excited to try out some of the songs to see how I got on. Well, I pleasantly surprised myself by being able to sight-read the several that I tried, albeit with several stumbles along the way, but with practice I should be able to play them well. They are well laid out and almost intuitively arranged so that the player can feel confident and play fairly fluently. The songs are well-known, all the lyrics are there as well as guitar chords. If you have moved on from beginner, you will have a lot of fun playing these. There are lots in the book, so shouldn't get boring quickly at all. And a nicely different selection from a lot of piano books. I found usually whichever ones you get have at least half the songs in other books that you already have, but not so with these. So I think good value. The paper isn't great quality, but it isn't bad either. And I wish it would stay open better and somehow omit page turns but this is common to a lot of books, so it tends to be up to the player to get the knack of dealing with these things. I have found no faults at all with the actual music, it's very sound. (pun not intended but I like it :) )

A great book if you are a great piano player
There is a big problem when buying Piano books as there is no guide in the description as to what grade in playing the Piano. I got to a grade 3, 30 years ago and I can only play 3 songs out of the whole book, so money wasted for me sadly.

Great gift!
If you want to buy awesome piano sheets of great songs of all time, this is your choice. I bought it for my father and he's really enjoying these piano sheets, in his words "not as easy at they seem and not hard to play, amazing gift". Cheers!

34 of the greatest songs of all time?
The title page is very misleading but given that, I had never heard of 11 of the songs on offer. I assume that there must be other volumes in this series. Otherwise the book is well presented and easy to follow suitable for a beginner or someone who has got a bit rusty.
