Cute mid mod domino train
This cute domino train lets you stack dominos into a shaft that you attach to the top of the train. You turn the train on, and a motor eats the dominos and then ejects them vertically and evenly spaced apart. The two front wheels are flexible and attached to the funnel of the train, so that you can turn the funnel in order to direct how the dominos are placed (in curves or straight lines, etc.)The mechanical mechanism of the train is fascinating, especially how it arranges something that was horizontal into something vertical. Plus, it makes it much easier for younger children to play dominos because they don’t have to spend hours arranging them. The box says that the train comes with one shaft, but mine came with two. I think that I also received an extra bag of dominos — so, seven domino bags in total, with more dark blue ones. This is plenty. It also comes with a plastic cactus. The train does make a train sound, as as it shunts out the dominos, it has a pleasant ding sound. Some people might not like that, but we do.The train comes in a nice box so it’s very giftable. If you are giving it as a small gift, maybe when visiting a family with a child, be sure to include 2 AA batteries and to bring a small screwdriver that won’t strip the screw. The real beauty of the train is its aesthetics. To be honest, I wasn’t too impressed with the picture of this plastic train, but the dark teal, lime green, and tangerine orange have a mid-mod feel to them, and the added plastic cactus also says, “Palm Springs 1956.”Personal note: I got this because my 2 YO son’s #specialinterest is trains. My son was not too interested in the dominos since that is not what trains do, in his opinion. He immediately took over the train to play with it as a train, not as a domino dispenser. Fortunately, the train looks old fashioned and is a much better match for his storybooks than almost any of the other many, many trains we own in our collection. We have a book called “Train Man,” and he held it up to the picture and was quite satisfied with how closely it matched. He was not pleased that it did not hook up to any of his other trains, even though Duplo trains and cars are about the same size (not the older ones that are just one brick across, but the newer ones that are motorized). For “Train Man,” which is a good book about siblings: https://www.amazon.com/Train-Man-Andrea-Zimmerman/dp/1627795049/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3R1OCDX041XEL&keywords=train+man+book&qid=1689491201&sprefix=train+man+book%2Caps%2C116&sr=8-1Also note that it has to work with these bricks, so don’t expect to use it with other domino sets. I also think that you need to make sure that the tiles are flush to the side, and they do have a tendency to flip if the shafts are not full — you need to make sure that they go straight into the train rather than being carted around by a toddler. ;)My mother says to knock off a star because she finds it difficult to load the shafts.

Great toy to keep kids busy.
Everyone loves to stack dominoes just to watch them fall but the setup is usually time-consuming and miserable. This toy will stack the dominoes for you. It is battery-operated and the battery door is sealed with a screw. However, the screwdriver is not included in the packaging. We took the toy with us on a trip and had batteries but no screwdriver to open the battery door. Son was disappointed.

Who didn't want one of these growing up??
The media could not be loaded. This thing is stinking cute!! The little bell when it drops a piece as it chugs along the floor is something else! My niece and I were instantly hooked on it, quickly refilling the little cartridges to make our little train lay down some more dominos. The fact that you can turn the little chimney chute to turn the wheels makes the little train even cooler. For the most part my 4yo niece could handle every part of this toy without much aid, most I had to do was line up the guard rails on the domino cartridge to close them back up and at one point the train jammed while dropping dominos and I had to stick my finger in to pop it out.Which leads to why I gave this thing only 4 stars, I wish the dominos were a little heavier so they wouldn't get stuck as easy and wouldn't topple as easy. If you took too heavy a step or have a hopping excited child nearby you're gonna have some topple early while trying to make your domino train. If you're on concrete you probably wouldn't have that problem as bad, but I have a crawlspace and any vibrations made those dominos wiggle. The engine is also pretty loud for such a tiny little train, not so loud as to be obnoxious but it was more than I was expecting. But I would definitely get this little train again! In all honesty I'm gonna look for more dominos and cartridges because I know this won't be the last time we play with this and having just a few more of both would just extend the fun!

Fun for kids
It’s fun, my kid loves it. Makes a satisfying noise when placing dominoes and it’s great it comes with two “gates” so you can make a line train of dominoes and immediately have it set the second set afterwardsI’m not sure why my review won’t get approved, I’ve tried 3 times. So now this review is short and basic because of the effort or takes to write something thoroughly so many times just to get it denied when they can’t even tell me what rule I’ve broken.

Fun toy
I like how it comes with 100 pieces of dominos. I dislike the fact that there’s only one magazine. Putting dominos in there takes a long time. It would be nicer to be able to prepare the next magazine when one is in use.

Works well except every once in a while a domino gets stuck
My son has been playing with this all morning and really likes it. He's big into patterns (he's six) so he likes that the train can make any pattern of colors that he chooses. The box has the same color tiles on it but also includes black tiles in the photo, so he's bummed that there weren't black tiles included in ours. Other than that he is happy. Every once in a while a domino will get stuck, you just have to turn it off, shake it out, and put it back in the loader. He likes turning the front wheels of the train while it's moving so he can make a circle and the train comes back around to run into the dominos.

Entertaining
The media could not be loaded. This is pretty cute and definitely entertaining. Lost a star because it has jammed multiple times but after turning off/on it corrects itself. It's a little annoying to reload the dominoes (smaller than expected) but toddler enjoys it. For those with young ones, the pieces are choking hazard size.
