Comparison of MCT oil options
Here's how it compares to other MCT oil products:Powdered MCT with dextrose (Viva brand) - This is my favorite addition to coffee. Powdered is so much more convenient than liquid!! It dissolves nicely and has the consistency of a creamer. (I also add a scoop of collagen for a creamier taste.) Unfortunately dextrose does add negligible carbs. Not an option for Keto diets!Powdered MCT with resistant starch (Anthony's brand) - This is grainy in coffee, so even though I like the convenience of a powdered MCT, and the health benefits of the resistant starch, I prefer the liquid to this for coffee. But if you want to mix it into your smoothie mix/ protein powder, it's the preferred health choice!MCT Oil liquid (GreenIVE) - I got this to add to my coffee and other hot drinks, since I am avoiding dairy, sugar, and other garbage. The problem with a liquid MCT is that it floats rather than mixing in! Plus it is messy to pour, or for travel. It should be fine if you're adding it to a smoothie/protein drink, though.Health benefits of MCT: I was surprised to read that this fat is easily digested, converts to energy better, and is not as likely to store as fat. My experience as someone who is low energy from a chronic illness, is that taking 1 t daily in my drink has not given me a noticeable increase in energy. :-( Still, it is a healthier choice!

It's tasteless
I hope that it cleans my arteries with those ingredients.

It's worth it...but...
I like almost all of Anthony's products, least the ones that I've tried. Even like this one. However, I only gave this a 4 star...because it has an aftertaste (not horrible but a bit unpleasant) and it doesn't fully dissolve in things like coffee or teas. In contrary to that, it's works great as additives for meals and baking.

Mixes well with coffee
I was looking for a larger quantity and this fits the bill but also works great in my coffee.

The Worst
I've been a long-time fan of creaming up my coffee with MCT oil powder. The first and very best is the MCT oil powder by Micro Ingredients. In response to their price point creeping up over the years, I have tried other brands, including this one by Anthony’s. I have used other products by Anthony’s, including their Nutritional Yeast, which were fantastic. But Anthony’s MCT oil powder is not good. In fact, of all the MCT oil powders I’ve tried, this is the 2nd from the worst. It doesn't bring any "creaminess" to coffee and it brings a very off / chemical flavor to the coffee. While I’m on the subject of MCT oil powders, I might as well tell you who makes the very worst: Z Naturals. Not only does theirs have an awful taste, but also brings a terrible chemical aroma. Z Naturals has a few different creamer powders; the one I’m specifically talking about is their unflavored, unsweetened "Collagen MCT Creamer". Please understand, the failure of their MCT oil powder is an anomaly of Z Natural. They make other products which are good. I really love their organic instant coffee. It’s dark but smooth and easy to drink black. I've also tried another MCT Oil powder by them (didn’t have “collagen” in the name) and it was no good too. That one didn’t taste funky, but it didn’t blend well. The 2nd best MCT oil powder, which at one point was significantly more affordable than the one from Micro Ingredients, is Nutricost’s Premium MCT Oil Powder. That one is almost too creamy, though, which I attribute to the sodium caseinate, which is a milk derivative and is an ingredient I’d rather not consume. I also don't like that Nutricost’s MCT oil powder isn't organic. Nonetheless, it didn't bring a funky chemical flavor like those from Anthony's and Z Natural and it was a good deal at the time of ordering (December 2023) at $17/lb for a 2-lb tub. Conclusion: Don't waste your money on Anthony's or Z Naturals. Stick with Micro Ingredients Organic MCT Oil Powder with Prebiotic Fiber. It may be pricey (usually around $30/lb (used to be close to $20/lb years ago), but it's worth it. It blends well and doesn't have a taste and it brings the perfect level of creaminess (I use 11-13g per 12oz cup of coffee).

A disappointing product
My husband and I drink Bulletproof Coffee every morning with heavy cream and MCT oil powder and collagen peptides added. This is the first product that we have used that really does not dissolve all that well and has an oily residue on the surface of the coffee. It is somewhat gritty at the end and I don't really mind that all that much but I find that I do not have that with the other products that we have used. This is a good value for the money but it makes me wonder if perhaps the manufacturing could have been a little bit more refined even though it might cost a bit more.

Great coffee addition
I put a tablespoon in my coffee every morning to get the benefits of MCT. I like the quality of the product and it mixes well in my coffee. Love that it is organic.
