I work in the Audio/Video industry and am surrounded every day by various computers and media devices that are continually running. The majority of the devices I work with use magnetic media (various video and audio tapes). I was recently informed that when magnetic media becomes warm it gives off ionized radiation. I ordered this "Geiger counter" to make sure I am not being exposed to unhealthy levels of radiation. It works perfectly and gives detailed data so you know exactly the current and past radiation levels.Pros:~ Once I charged it I turned it on and it immediately began reading and detecting low level radiation~ The display is large and gives various detailed information~ Menu options are easy to navigateCons:~ Does require a bit of learning to understand all of the data it gives you, unless you happen to work in a field that involves ratiationOverall I am very impressed with the quality of this geiger counter made by S.FineIt gives me piece of mind when I regularly check levels and know that I am not in harms way. If you are in a place where there is the potential for radiation, this device is a must!

This is a unit that data nerds will fall in love with instantly.I ordered this to go with my EMF meter and it fits in nicely. The unit is of good quality and feel. It works as stated and provides way more information than I'd likely ever need, but it's nice to know should I need it, it's there.

This item is a same product as yellow one. It just changed the case to blue color but the machine itself still have many design issues. The data been manipulated. No a trust-able product.
