Good layout, educational and approachable
At first glance this book looks like a very basic children's introduction, but on opening the book, there is much more text and at a higher level than I expected. It has a layout that is easy to follow at the same time as it's engaging and informative and it is well worth a read for adults and kids alike.Recommended

Enjoyable and informative
A good hardbook manual that clocking in at less than 50 pages is a snappy and colourful introduction to the topic for all ages. Loads of illustrations and a lively but adequately focused and detailed narrative that orientates the reader into an understanding of the current post-war digital age with a fair degree of flair. Enjoyable and informative.

Excellent introduction to the last 70 years in science.
This is a lovely introduction to the basics of the digital age - giving an overview of developments over the last 70 years. It is an attractive, hard-back book full of photographs, facts and timelines. It is very approachable and easy to read and it goes into just enough depth for students at this level - and whets the appetite for discovering more. Much more fun than the internet, it is inspiring and fascinating - even for grandmas like me. It sounds as if it is only going to be about computers but it covers so much more - from Babbage's original computer, via DNA, lasers, space travel, cloning and more - on the way to the world wide web. I do feel it was perhaps too big an exercise for the book title the author has chosen, as the book covers a wider remit than things digital and I think it misses out computing related history that could have been included - and scientific developments too. Might have been better to produce two books and separate the subjects more. Saying that, I really enjoyed it and so did my grandson. And it is a good price for what you are getting as well. Really nice addition to your child or grandchild's bookshelf.
