Unsuitable for use as advertised.
Unit arrived in time. But now I am unsure how suitable this item is. Advertised for keeping important documents and valuables safe for 30 min from fire and water. It is not a safe which I understood when I purchased it as although heavy it is portable and it's lock not very robust. I purchased it to preserve important documents in the event of a house fire but on opening the safe the instructions advise that due to the insulation has a high moisture content certain delicate items such as jewelry with working parts, watches, stamps or photos are recommended to be stored in airtight containers. As I bought this to store documents I contacted SentrySafe for advise as to what they sell to cover this or what they recommend but even after making a second request via the online form I have had no reply so I assume no such product is available for A4 size documents. Masterlock units are made by the same company and have had people complaining of mould appearing on documents after a short period.
