I wanted to go back to 'proper' studs back in the spring when the ground was still quite muddy. But now I really appreciate how grippy these studs are in summer grass. Yes, they are noisy on pavement - and draw quite a few comments about retro golf sounds - Ha! But out on the course, there can't be anything that will grip the ground better. And these studs seem to be very durable - I've had them before and they are pretty rugged - no problems at all. Just make sure you click them in correctly. As these grip hard - they will come out if not installed right. You'll need a stud tool to do the job accurately - not long nose pliers or a mole wrench. The LONGRIDGE Golf Shoe Spike Wrench from Amazon at £4 will do the job fine.

I had seen some negative reviews of these spikes which seemed to surround the fast twist 3 model. I had an earlier version on an older shoe in the past which were really good so I thought I would take a chance on them as my course is getting way too slippery for standard cleats which get clogged on our clay type soil. I think I can see why some people have had issues. I managed to pop 14 of the spikes onto my shoes (7 on each) and it was fairly easy to get them to lock in place. But then I spotted something! 3 of the spikes had not actually seated correctly although they had locked in place. It wasn't initially easily apparent but I had to remove them and put them back in. The second time worked well. I am wondering if this could account for some people having spikes disappear out on the course. Only time will tell how well they hold up, as sadly my course is closed at the moment due to the very wet conditions we have experienced continuously for the past 3 months 😥

When you search for plastic golf spikes you would hope that the top result is exactly that. unfortunately these spiked golf studs are metal with the yellow element being the plastic cleat. You are not provided with a spare and the threads are not all 100% moulded, this then leaves you with odd spikes or requiring to purchase another pack, as most courses have moved away from metal spikes this is an issue here in the UK.

Studs are good. My golf shoes on the other hand are not holding one particular stud in. Have to keep replacing it as it seems to pop out during play. Probably more a weekness in the sole of the shoe whereby the recess is not locking the stud securely in place. Maybe check the condition of golf shoes that use this type of camloc stud.

Value for money fast and efficient service

Play on a muddy course so a secure non-slip spike is essential. Like the central metal spike whilst the support from the surrounding material makes it easy to blow the mud off. These have been in my shoes for five rounds now, including walking on paved areas. No losses as yet but fitting needs a little care.

These are really great for winter golf or at the range. They fit my Footjoy Dryjoy Tours perfectly. I noticed however that if you tap them with your wedge to get sand off the soles it could cause one or two to come loose and fall out. Other than that, they are the absolute best for traction.

First off, these will fit shoes that require 'Fast-Twist' type spikes. When these arrived, I thought they were just plastic spikes, and they wouldn't last long. BOY was I wrong! It seems they are steel spikes that just have a coat of black paint. I found out when I went to the course with these on. They frown on steel spikes (I don't understand why, seeing as how they do a great job of aerating their greens, but that's another case) Anyhow, I started using them for something else, entirely. Since I have a steep hill in my backyard, I use them on my shoes when I mow the lawn, and they do a WONDERFUL job! I guess i'm just going to have use my other 'soft-spikes' on the course, since that's what they require. I STILL don't understand why they won't let me use these! I like them alot, and that's what I got them for in the first place! Seeing as how this course has many hills in it, as well.
