Summary:This is a quality magnetic switch, with a very standard layout (the terminal layout is identical to a Delta/Powermatic/Jet 2HP+ magnetic motor starter), but essentially no instructions. If you've wired magnetic switches before, this is a great option, at a fraction of the price of a brand name switch.Details:The switch arrives pre-wired 3-phase power, and although it's described as single phase compatible, you'll need 2 additional jumpers/bridges to convert to single phase. This is simple to do with a little bit of scrap cable, but you'll need to be familiar with magnetic switches to re-wire since there aren't any instructions to convert from 3-phase to single phase. Luckily, the terminal layout is very standard, and if you have already have a Delta/Powermatic/Jet 2HP+ magnetic motor starter, you can use it as a reference.I can't say how long the switch will last, but the seal and fit of the enclosure are on par with name brands. At this price point, you're not getting a name brand contactor, relay, or switch body, but I haven't found any problems with the quality of the components in this magnetic motor starter.

I purchased this to replace a broken switch on a JET table saw.As other reviews noted, it comes wired for 3 phase power. I've attached a wiring diagram to rewire it to 240V one phase power, as it comes with no instructions. You'll need to obtain or make a couple of extra jumpers.Once rewired and installed, the "off" button didn't work! Not because it was miswired but because the metal tab that connects the exterior button to the button on the actual switch inside was nowhere close to actually making contact. I attached a machine screw to the metal tab and that seemed to do the trick.This switch works great now but expect to do some fiddling; it's not an out-of-the-box replacement.
