I’m a 32 year old chap trying to navigate his way through life whilst waiting for an Autism assessment to take place. Life has often been a struggle for me, perhaps more so than others. I tend to find Anxiety, Stress and Depression builds over time to a point that it becomes unbearable and something “breaks” so to speak. I often feel like I’m fluttering between a cycle of pent up emotions, breakdown, recovery (piecing myself back together) and beginning all over again whilst waiting for the next “break”. This may seem a negative opening, but please bare with me.I have been using this device now for a short period of time and I have noticed excellent results. I’m not the type of person who will sit here and say that this will absolutely work for you … results will vary as we are all different and this is what adds colour to the world.From my perspective, I have felt significantly less anxious when rolling this around in my hand. The texture is pleasing and I particularly like how it seems to absorb the cold. Put it in the fridge or freezer and the results are incredibly pleasing.I recently began a new job. On my first day, I was scheduled to be in the office. I usually work from home, but I had to go in and collect equipment and meet people. As somebody who suffers with social anxiety, this is always a daunting prospect. I took this device with me to the office, using it both on route and whilst in the office with people and nobody even noticed. I was worried it would be noticed and I would be questioned about it and I would have to divulge information I wasn’t ready to share openly with strangers. Nobody noticed. It’s discreet and silent, and I was able to use it all day to my hearts content. It definitely helped me feel more balanced and made navigating the challenge of this daunting new environment far easier.I also have an ongoing problem with picking my nails and skin on my fingers. I’ve had this issue as long as I can remember. I’ve tried all sorts throughout my life so far to stop it. I’ve even tried Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques, but nothing really changed the compulsive desire to tear my hands apart. Even with professional therapy, it’s never gone away. When I get stressed, anxious or depressed, I destroy my hands. It’s always been this way and I didn’t think anything could change this. Especially having tried so much over the years. This isn’t just minor picking either, I really will destroy my fingers without really realising I am doing it.However, I am extremely proud to say that my hands are looking significantly better now and it is thanks to this roller. I will include a photo as evidence of this. This device keeps my hands busy and prevents me from picking my cuticles and biting my nails. I honestly can’t recall the last time I saw my hands looking this good, which means it was probably way back in my childhood that they last looked like this.In my new role, it was nice to go and be able to shake hands with people without having plasters on each of my fingers or trying to hide them from view. It was also nice to experience a handshake without pain for a change.In the future, I would like to be a therapist. I am currently training towards this goal. Part and parcel of the training is developing a deep understanding of myself and self awareness. Through this, I have learned a lot about myself, my compulsions, patterns, thoughts and behaviours, but have never come across anything physically that really helped me. That is until now, of course.They often say the simplest things can work best. This is a simple device, but for me the results have been sensational. The size is great, it’s discreet and I really can’t demonstrate the impact it has had on me other than through this, admittedly, lengthy review.Though the device is simple, it is robust and clearly manufactured well. This will easily last me a long time. It may seem pricey for what it is, but I personally think the cost is justified considering the benefits I have got from this.As stated previously, people are unique, varying and multifaceted. Your experience with this may differ to mine and that is ok. At least you have the option to try it and return it if it doesn’t work for you. Personally, I think it’s a no brainer to try at least and see if it helps you too.Please note from the photos that my fingers aren’t perfect, as they are still recovering from the last attack before I got the ONO. However, they are almost healed which wouldn’t have been possible without the help of this. I won’t include a photo of what they were like before getting this as it is graphic and unpleasant to see, you will just have to take my word for it that this is a huge improvement.

As an adult getting your head around this and trying to find your way through the minefield of meds, books, websites in just overwhelming.I found the Ono roller recently on Amazon and read the reviews and took the plunge.What a great little gadget. I have large hand, and this sits comfortably in the hand. The motion is silent and all you hear is the touch of your hand on the roller. It is weighty, but not uncomfortable. It looks and feels quality.The roller prevents my from the distraction of biting nails and from also grabbing the phone. It has aided my focus, and the rhythmic movement feels second nature and doesn’t have to be learnt.Yes it is not cheap, but the quality of this item and the benefits I feel within a very short time of use is definitely worthwhile.

I like the size, and the bright colour. It's eye-catching and perfect for my small hands. The design is sleek, it has a reasonable weight so feels satisfying to hold, and the mechanism rolls easily and smoothly. It feels sturdy but I suppose time will tell. Very nice though!

Well made fidget toy, I bought for ADHD, for focusing when working but also to try and help me stop using my mobile devices when watching TV, for stimming to relax. Too early yet to see if it'll do that, but tha'll be down to my mindset too. Probably a good tool for exercising hands after surgery etc.

I had this roller in my basket for months but felt like I couldn't justify the price for the sake of a fidget toy. Boy how wrong I was - this thing was worth every penny!It feels even better than I thought it would. Very high quality, smooth movement. It blows all of my other toys out of the water in terms of how satisfying it feels, and is far more stealthy than the others too.This fidget will scratch an itch you didn't even know you had. You won't regret it.Context: anxious, autistic, (former) compulsive finger picker.

Both me and my son are autistic/ADHD and these rollers are great not only for hands but rolling all over arms, legs and really nice on the side of your cheeks! Has stopped my son picking the skin off his fingers too.It's not too heavy, smooth and silent! I don't ever leave Amazon reviews, but this is amazing. I've just been diagnosed with ADHD (and I'm old if you're wondering!), and I bought it off the reviews of other ADHD sufferers thinking it may be ok, but won't be any better than the (bajillions) of other fidgets I've got. Well, I was wrong. It's fabulous. It's really well made and has just the right amount of heft, the tactility you have to feel to believe and is amazing (like your favourite toy from when you were a kid but so much more fun, that kind of great!).It's stopped me skin picking, helps me concentrate on writing code, and makes those really dull video calls whizz past (you know those ones - you get forced to go, but have zero input as it's not your field).This is how the conversations go:"What's that?""It's a roller fidget thingy""Lol - a toy?""No, go on, try it"*rolls in palm*"OMG I NEED ONE"'nuff said.

I looked at loads of gadgets and things to occupy fiddly fingers. These rollers, whilst not the cheapest are worth the money. They are well made, weighty but smooth, rollers - but not so smooth there's no resistance.I would recommend these for anyone looking for neurodiverse-helpful fidget gadgets.Only point to note (not relevant for anyone who is not daft enough, or clumsy enough to do this) if you roll them over your head whilst lying in bed and drop them, they really really hurt because they're heavy! Not recommended for daft and clumsy people, definitely recommend for everyone else!!

I started using this within 2 minutes of opening the package. I was amazed at how quickly I enjoyed using it.The only minor detail (it's orange) is I wish I could have found a different color. The price seemed a bit high but after seeing it as well as the feel and quality of it made it worth it. (I should add there was no tax charged here in Quebec)

The media could not be loaded.  This is great. It’s heavy for its size, but not uncomfortable, which is comforting. It’s finish is very smooth, a little bit of a matte feel. This is the rose gold color, it’s very beautiful. It is completely silent, which is amazing. When you first start using it is cool to the touch, which I love. This was my first high quality fidget that I purchased to help with my ADHD. Money well spent.
