this is everything I have been looking for, clean cold air, as im writing this its 96° outside with humidity at 31% , 69° inside with seventeen foot high valted ceilings. Best to used near an opening to the outside ( patio door or window ) while another equal sized opening is where the cooling is needed and farthest away from unit. Humidity will be changing. thru-out the day inmost areas humidity.Us a weather app for your current percentage. (high humidity will not allow devices to operate in a cooling capacity, fan only) In the past evaporated koolers were notoriously dusty at the start up unless using an extiour hose to prim it.As for the frozen blocks, use them in your ice chest , they have very little output capacity ans and are short lived on any cooling capabilities.with a portable evaporated koolers keep indoors, eliminatethe dusting condition of outdoor units. The three speed fan motor and generous swivel of the fan loovers will cool down most rooms quickly. When using this type of cooling, the humility is of utmost importance, low dry humidity is an evaporated cooling best friend cooling down some 16 degrees in my application, with higher humidity above 45% this will quickly turn your homs into an uncomfortable sana. ugh.purchase with confidence once your educated on your immediate humity levels . enjoyps. dont forget to change water frequently to avoid unpleasant oders.

*Seller is making this right.* We were so excited for this so we didn’t have to put in a window air conditioner. It worked well for a week, then, the cooling option just quit. It turned into a $160 fan. I have put in for a return and replacement, just hoping it was a singular faulty machine. We did like it until it just…quit. We shall see if the next unit fairs longer. I hope so. it worked really well for that first week.

Did not work at all in my situation. Humid and hot space. Basically it is a big fan that blows air a little cooler than what you would normally have. Uses up water quickly. Here is the worst part -- when I went to return it -- company does NOT pay the shipping. Cost $94 to mail it back! Amazon should discontinue with this retailer. Such poor form in this day and age. Don't buy it.

I Don’t write reviews. I wanted to spread the word about this evaporator cooler.It works really good. I live in Ca were we have hot dry summers. This cooler has cooled down our kitchenso much! We can actually cook in the kitchen now.. This is a evaporator cooler.. it needs air circulation in order for it to work properly..a door or a window must be opened. Unlike a rood air conditioner where refrigerant is used to, house can be closed upEvaporator coolers don’t work good in a humid climate. Cool much better in a dry climate.

It's not an air conditioner people, it's not supposed to blast freezing cold air at you. If you want one of those the price range is a little steeper, or they are stuck in a window, and they aren't just evaporative coolers. - That's in response to all the people putting up silly one star reviews here. We took a chance on this brand new product and it wasn't terrible. Vine reviews were a little too glowing. Right after we purchased the terrible reviews started pouring in, but it isn't that bad. We haven't used it much, so eh, but that's because we bought it to save on electricity but then our electric bill was cheap at the new house. Bad purchase but we might get some use out of it next year in the garage. Makes a bit of noise and you have to fill it up constantly - our ADHD doesn't work well on remembering to do that. But it kept my husband from trying to DIY his own swamp cooler for twice as much money and taking up twice as much space and taking up hours and hours of time we didn't have. Shrug. If you want to DIY get this instead I promise it will be better than anything you'll be able to come up with lol, and way quieter than the box fan you're drooling over. And usually I encourage DIY. Just not with HVAC or similar or when it takes twice as much money for half the product and 10x the effort that clicking "buy" would.

Like most ppl I look for value and quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find this unit. I wanted a unit that could be moved to anywhere in my room not just to an area around a window. No ventilation tube to have to deal with! As for the product itself it has 3 settings that go from a gentle breeze to a powerful gust of air. It also oscillates (goes back and worth) I have a large room and it keeps it cool very well. It also comes with 6 freezer paks making it even colder if you wish. You fill it from the top and it fills the container on the bottom. Bc there’s a pump in it I have chosen to put filtered water in it, I’d like it to last longer. If you chose not to chill the air and just want a fan it’s great for that also. I can’t say enough nice things about it! A very happy customer.

The media could not be loaded.  While this cooler does a good job of cooling it is a hassle to add water to the unit because you have to remove the back panel to access the water pan in order to add water to it. It also leaks thereby creating a mess!

Machine works great. Top hinges are pretty weak and one broke a week later, but cover still stays in place. A godsend on the patio in the Texas summer!!
