Abrupt ending
Loving this series, but totally frustrated at the ending. It’s as if you ripped the book in half and could only read the first half. Not any sort of conclusion. Next book out in August which will continue the story, but Amazon won’t let me order it.

Gripping
As I often write when review M L Rose's books, totally gripping. What a cliff hanger at the end. I couldn't believe it. The third book in the series. Can't wait for the next one. Highly recommended.

Dissapointed
Exactly the same story as the first book. Really embarrassing attempts at local accents, had cop. DCI daughter in the thick of it? Seriously?? Had guy not a cop this time but ex husband of one but the most insulting thing of all, method of murder, same autopsy riga reports temp etc etc. Definitely won't be ready any more

Gritty
This is another good read from M.L.Rose, as Rohan Roy who at one time worked for the Met and Arla Baker, has now transferred to Sheffield, and still has his daughter Anna staying with him. Rohan in the last book put some thugs behind bars but he knows they still know where or what happened all those years ago to his brother, although that chapter is closed somebody is taunting him still about his brother.A new case has emerged and a young woman single mother was found strangled but also has lots of cuts all over her body suggesting she bled out and posed in an odd way. Now Rohan has a good team working for him and they are all happy he is staying, and with all the goings on and Rohan and his team start to get down to the nitty-gritty of what's around them and start to seriously investigate. Rohan has his thoughts that this culprit has done this way before, it's not new to him, so he gets his team to dig deep yes it has happened before and still is a cold case, so what with this massage parlour that is only ever open at nights, could that hold the key? and Anna who is studying goes to the library and struck up a friendship with a woman who says she is a teacher. Anna also notices a man staring at her but although she is used to young men making advances this one warns her of the dangers of this woman, who is not who she says she is.This story has a lot of players in it which does keep you on your toes but the ending is left in mid-air hopefully we won't have long to wait.Good fast pace with lots going on, but Rohan Roy he is carrying a lot of baggage still so will it get through it all unscathed

Another Page Turner
Having only met Rohan Roy last week I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the latest instalment and downloaded it the day it came out. I wasn’t disappointed, this book was just as good as the previous two, especially the way ML Rose keeps threads going throughout the series. Just as you think a character is done with, they return and add another layer to the main plot.I do love it when we not only get to know the main character, but also get to know more about the team working with the main character, it helps to keep you invested in the team as a whole. The gradual insight into Roy’s life and the back story behind him is just as gripping as the main plot. Everything about this series just keeps you wanting to come back for more.Role on August and the next book in the series.

Another great read ⭐️
M L Rose is one of my favourite authors. I have loved every book in the Arla Baker series but think this series might just take the edge! Rohan Roy is a great character n I love how we get to know him n his whole team of detectives. This book ended on a real cliffhanger so I hope we don’t have to wait too long to see what happens! I would recommend these books to everyone who enjoys an edge of the seat twisty crime novel.

Amazing read
ML Rose does it again! I was hooked from the first page and annoyed when life got in the way and I had to put my kindle down.I love how we get to know each of the characters, how the back story is building alongside the story in each book and I absolutely love his style of writing.Thank you for the advanced copy, yet again I can highly recommend this and all of your previous books to anyone who is a fan of crime/police procedurals. I’m now counting down the days until the next book!
