4.55⭐️ stunned
4.55⭐️ i don’t recommend going into this book blindly (if you can’t tell, i did)😀 i had ZERO background on this book besides the fact that this book contains explicit drawings (loll). but the spice….4🌶️ (the road-trip….) i loved the characters in this book. blake was such a good fmc. her personality and her confidence matched ramses soo well. ramses was also a really good mmc. i adored their relationship. one of my favorite things i loved was the quiet moments they had. ALSO that they resolved their problems quick. overall really enjoyed this book. soo excited for briggs and sadie (bc what happened between them 👀)

Compelling Characters, Unique Story - A Must Read by Lark!
Sophie Lark's MINX is an enchanting book that effortlessly transports readers to the vibrant streets of New York City and the picturesque landscapes of the Hamptons. As a lifelong resident of these iconic locations, I was immediately captivated by Lark's vivid descriptions, which evoked a strong sense of familiarity and allowed me to immerse myself in the story with ease. One of the standout aspects of MINX is the incredible spice that permeates the pages. Lark masterfully blends passion, intensity, and sensuality, delivering an unforgettable reading experience. While initially VERY skeptical about the pet play element introduced in the book, I was pleasantly surprised by how seamlessly it was woven into the narrative. Lark handles this aspect with finesse, ensuring that it never becomes uncomfortable but instead adds a unique layer of intimacy and exploration to the story. Being that this was my first time reading this sort of kink, for lack of a better word, I throughly enjoyed the intimacy it brought to the storyline.Sophie Lark has an undeniable talent for crafting strong, independent female characters who grapple with their desire to maintain control and once again showcases it here. Blake, the FMC, epitomizes strength and determination, yet she finds herself drawn to Ramses, a man who yearns to take care of her and alleviate some of her burdens. Their dynamic is nothing short of captivating as two brilliant individuals who find a delicate balance between power and vulnerability.I found myself deeply appreciating MINX on multiple levels. Not only does it entertain and arouse, but it also explores the complexities of relationships and the intricacies of power dynamics. Lark's writing shines, drawing readers into a world where passion and tenderness coexist in harmony.Overall, MINX left a lasting impression on me. With its portrayal of NYC and the Hamptons, its tantalizing spice, and its compelling characters, this book is a total gem. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a captivating romance filled with depth, emotion, and sizzling chemistry. Sophie Lark continues to impress, and MINX is a testament to her exceptional storytelling skills.

Great characters and better fluff
I really love Sophie Lark’s characters. The MCs in Minx and There are no Saints are strong, independent, and complex and have this great respect for each other. I love that and don’t find that very often. I gave it four stars because there could have been more angst and drama. Instead we got a big fluffy relationship, but I love fluff! I mostly just love a strong, independent woman bringing a powerful man to his knees.

Like attracts like
There is not a single book of Sophie’s that I’ve read that I have not absolutely LOVED. Minx is no exception..When a man as powerful and successful as stock trader Ramses Howell decides he wants something there is precious little that will keep him from getting it.Enter Blake Abbot, a mysterious enigma amongst the ultra-rich’s most powerful men. Beautiful, smart, charismatic and the most desired escort in New York. She only takes on 3 clients at one time and has a 3 year long wait list. When Ramses sees her at Belmont Stakes with a competitor he is determined to find out more about this incredible woman. It doesn’t take him long to see that she is extremely good at her job, but not for the normal reasons. She watches. She listens. She engages. She flatters. She pays attention to every single detail around her. Which makes Ramses wonder “why does a woman like her do a job like that?”Employing somewhat unethical tactics he learns all he can about her then shows up to one of her dates and disposes of a client so he can insert himself on her roster.Blake is not happy with his audacity but what Ramses doesn’t know? Blake is a hunter and she’s been hunting him. Now he’s put himself squarely in her path and God help them both for what’s to come..This is a somewhat dark but absolutely beautiful story. When 2 people such as Ramses and Blake find each other you can see why they’re so drawn together. Like attracts like. There are subtle differences in them sure but the challenges they’ve had to overcome to get to where they are would have destroyed most. But they are anything but ordinary.

If you want to get into pet play, this book is it!
The smvt in the book was AMAZING!! Pet play & femd0m scenes were my favorite! There was also exhibiti0nism! I do think it could’ve been shorter, the plot wasn’t my favorite but the smvt was great. Some TW: r slur, svicide mention, death of a parent, svbstance abvse, CSA, foster care.

I LOVED itSo I had been in something like a slump and it pulled me right outPerfect Sophia Lark standalone albeit less dark than her normal books but the spice was✨ spectacular ✨Ramses and Blake are perfect in all ways and I love the fact that both seem to be NORMAL. As in, their emotions are understandable and the decisions they make, the things they say are something you'd expect real people to do and say.Looking for a contemporary with spice 🌶️ then don't even think, just go for ittt....P.s all that info about trading makes me wanna dive into research and trade too. Only Sophie can do that tbh 😂

🖤 Ramses & Blake 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5.I knew i was going to like this because it's Sophie but i had no idea i would like it this much. This is a 6 Star book not because of how much i cried but because of how riveted and fascinated i was. Dare i say impressed? This was something else. I was expecting spice but i knew Sophie would bring some depth to the characters. I trusted the process and i was not disappointed.I loved Ramses! He was respectful of Blake's profession, Blake as a woman who knew what she wanted and knew how to get it and everything surrounding the services Blake provided. I think this is one of the biggest reasons why this book worked so well for me. I could literally feel the respect and devotion Ramses had for Blake so everything they did, wasn't gross or humiliating to me, quite the opposite in fact. It felt empowering.Ramses was fascinated with Blake and i loved being in his pov and see how his brilliant mind worked. The same pretty much goes to Blake. Game recognizes games and that's exactly how Ramses found out what she was doing.I loved her past and how she made something of herself when the odds wasn't on her side.I loved seeing these two together! They had more than a sexy connection and it showed throughout the book.I loved Sophie's descriptions of the characters but also how she wrote the Minx scenes. She took me along the journey and i was riveted while reading it. This was more than a spicy book and those scenes were a good example of it. I loved the way it was described how Blake was feeling during and after those. Again, it was an experience and different. I'm not a big fan of pet play but when Sophie writes it, i am one. 🙂 Well done! Also the mention of cats in this was spot on. I have a cat, Izzy, and i think i rule in my house but who am i kidding? She is the one who owns me. 😂 Cats will rule the world one day. 😊Honestly i can't wait for the audiobook to release and reread it and i can't wait for what Sophie releases next.

Sexual, Powerful and inspting
From the moment Blake and Ramses locked eyes it was on. Two very powerful characters with their own harrowing stories. Working together to achieve their ultimate goal. The way Minx was played our was clever and built the characters. Knowing the authors own background story certainly gave a more personal touch to the ending and I could see how her own relationship helped build the story and the characters. Sophie Lark has done it once again. I think I've found my inner Minx.

Felt like written by a man!
I first gave this book 3 stars, one day later changed it to 2 stars and now I have to change it to 1. This really really really felt like it was written by a man. I think that says enough.

Steamy read with emotional depth!
This book was STEAMING HOT! It was different to what I was expecting in all the best ways. Sophie has an incredible talent, writing this steamy story while giving us emotional depth to keep you completely enthralled. It was unlike any other book I have read recently and I devoured it.Blake and Ramses are both such strong characters that thrive on being in control. However once they meet each other they have to learn how give some of that control to each other and be vulnerable. They both have such a beautiful development both personally and together which was so well written. The chemistry between them was instant and you could feel it in the pages, it was electric. Sophie managed to balance the insta-lust with the emotional journey they were both on as the feelings they started to experience surprised them. The things Ramses did for Blake had me swooning, his filthy mouth and gestures were top tier 👌
