Stopped working after 2 months
I liked this product, for 2 months it worked great. But it stopped working a few days ago. And when I try to contact Trapex about product service it automatically says I’m not eligible for that service & I have to contact Amazon for returns, which of course will do nothing because I’ve had the item over 30 days. Really disappointed that it stopped working so quickly & there doesn’t seem to be anything I can about it. Not very good customer service.

The internal fan is weak in that it can't enough suction to pull down flies.
It has a cool blue light to attract flying bugs. It does a decent job capturing smaller bugs but not powerful enough for flies. It would great if there is knob for turning up the fan.

Amazing! Works really well!
We bought this product due to a fruit fly problem that we couldn’t seem to fix, so we thought we’d try this unit. The set up was super easy and took less than two minutes. We used it for the first time overnight last night… added the apple cider vinegar to the bait pod (I think this is the game changer), turned off the kitchen lights, and switched the unit on. I came down this morning to check the sticky pad and was truly shocked at how well it had done! It had trapped dozens of fruit flies and I even got two house flies and a few mosquitos as well. I love that the motor is quiet and the unit is very small. It blends in perfectly with my kitchen and you hardly even notice it is there. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to get rid of insects in your kitchen!

Did not work EDITED
The media could not be loaded. EDIT: a very good customer service because they reached out to me about my review. They sent me a new one thinking that there could have been a problem in shipping that damaged my first one. I did not believe this to be the case but I told them I’d try it again. This time I placed it on my counter in the kitchen (the first one was right near my cat food bowls on the floor because that’s where the fruit flies were) It worked the same way as far as fan strength however it worked catching fruit flies much better on the counter so maybe product placement played into the effectiveness. Although not the end all be all to fruit fly elimination it did a much better job than the first oneI bought this because the reviews said it was great. Strong fan, worked great etc however that was not my experience. I have a lot of pets and try to rely on natural methods instead of poisonous sprays. I have a fruit fly infestation in a bathroom where I feed my cats. I’ve used bleach, clorox, dawn soap, fruit flu traps and sticky paper and they’re still there. So I thought this was my answer and as you can see the flies used it as a playground. I will say that a few made it to the bottom and stuck to the trap however I also saw some walking around on the sticky paper. I touched the paper and it was sticky so I’m not sure how they could walk but they were. There were about 10 fruit flies all flying around the light and walking on the bait disc but they flew off when I picked up the device to video them. One stayed around. I guess he wants to be famous. I would not recommend this. I caught more on yellow sticky paper than this product.

Only marginally effective
Only marginally effective. After a weeks worth of use, with multiple bait changes, only caught 8 flies. Fan is quiet and seems to work OK, but the overall unit is light and of fairly thin plastic. The cord supplied is very short. We've had better luck with the old school sticky traps placed in strategic locations. The Trapex did not lure flies from across the aisle in the kitchen counter top to center island. Better than no trap at all I guess, but not what I expected.

Used it for two weeks and NO bugs
Even though I placed this in an area that I had some fruit flies and other little flying insects, I had this turned on for two weeks and not even one fruit fly was caught in the machine!! Does not work

Works great with apple cider vinegar
At first, when I tried it, I didn’t have apple cider vinegar and decided to substitute something else that was sugary in there. It was completely useless that way. Then I get the apple cider vinegar from Amazon and a test takes about 2 tablespoons full in the little container, and after one night I take a look in the bottom and there’s like so many bugs stuck on the sticky paper and I opened look in the vinegar and there’s probably 20 to 30 dead in the vinegar. This item does work but you need to change the vinegar every day , also, since it operates off a USB plug, it is very low energy usage and should not bother your electric bill at all
