This donut maker is awesome it comes with easy open close “closure” to bake the donuts with a red + green light indicator to let you know when to open the lid and remove your tasty treats. Takes literal minutes to make and they come out perfect!! We’re addicted to using this donut maker it remind me of using a at home waffle maker but better bc it’s donut obviously! Great sturdy quality machine, easy set up & clean up, cooks evenly & perfect donuts every time it has just the right amount of temperature to cook evenly and fast. It also came with a small booklet with donut recipe enclosed. Total value for how great this works. We love fresh donuts thanks to this fast, easy, maker! Yum!

This is a fun machine that works as it should. Here are a few things to know, however. First, put the instructions in your printer and enlarge them 100% so you can read them. Second, the red light comes on whenever the heating element is working. The green light is supposed to come on when it is ready to use, but I found the green light came on right away and just stayed on. Third, it only draws 125 watts, so is not a big energy user or likely to burn the donuts. Fourth, go online and find a recipe; the one that comes with it is strangely low-fat, which kind of spoils the whole reason for eating donuts. And finally, don't overfill the batter. As you can see from these photos, the batter expands and keeps the lid from closing tight, so the tops of the donuts do not brown. They were still wonderful, though, and had a nice texture.
