I don't expect the weight of the stand, it was realy sturdy to hold my laptop. That's why this has a high review and it's true I recommend this.

I was excited to try this stand, as my laptop tends to run hot, and before this, I had to stand it on end up against my kitchen counter wall in my apartment to ensure it had enough air to keep from overheating. This stand is very stylish and will blend into most any decor, the padding to help protect the laptop or other device that you place in it, and the stand itself is substantially weighted to help minimize to potential for tipping. It also has the ability to adjust to a wide range of widths to accommodate a wide range of devices.the only real negative I can find for this is in the initial setup. The adjustment screws for the two "wings" on the stand are on the bottom of the stand. This makes it nice for cosmetics as you don't see them this way; however, in doing so, it makes it very difficult to adjust the width and get the sides to stay where you put them to get an accurate fit for your device. I tried loosening both sides at the same time and it made the adjustment nearly impossible. I tried loosening one side at a time and this made it just as difficult with my laptop as you will see, my laptop is a tapered design, which makes it difficult to get a tight fit as well.Overall, if you have an extra set of hands for the initial adjustment, this will be a solid investment if you want to leave a laptop or a tablet on a desk or table without taking up too much space.

This is a simple and well made laptop stand that does its job well and looks good doing it. I have a similar stand with two slots from a different brand which looks and works the same way (aside from having two slots) and like this style of stand for its space saving design and clean looks. It is made of metal and heavy (a good thing) so it does not slide around the desk and makes storing my laptop easy. It also helps keeps my Dell XPS 13 2 -in-1 laptop (pictured) out of the way when I am working at my desk with an external monitor, mouse, keyboard, webcam etc. It is well made with no noticeable rough edges and has ample padding underneath to protect your furniture and keep the stand from slipping around. It also has padding inside the slot to protect your device and can be easily adjusted to fit thicker devices.While I am happy with the stand itself, I only gave it 4 stars because, at its current price of $22.99 for the simgle slot model ($25.99 for the dual slot), it is pricey compared to the competition and my other similar dual-slot stand currently costs much less.

This is a nice looking metal stand with a solid base. While it can accommodate different thickness items, it is only adjustable by loosening and tightening 4 screws on the underside of the holder. So once I adjusted it for my super thin iPad, it couldn't fit my larger Dell laptop. So I adjusted it for the laptop and then the iPad wobbles in a space that is too wide for it.This is being super picky. Likely you have one thing in mind that you will want to place in this stand and you will adjust the base to accommodate that. Once that is done, it does its job well. The stand doesn't slide around and is very solid. It also has padding inside the holder and on the bottom so it doesn't scratch up anything.All in all, it is very nice and serves it job well. I took one star off for the manual adjustments required (some others have spring loaded, self-adjusting holders). Otherwise, it is a good buy.

I'll admit to being a little disappointed when I unpacked this today. Don't get me wrong. For what it is, it is solidly made, and had little pads to keep it from slipping or scratching the tech that goes into it. Very sturdy! However, I guess I was expected it to be able to charge the machines as well, so that's why I was bummed. But I got it for my husband, and he's pretty psyched that he can put one laptop in it while he works with the other, as he's got a personal laptop and one from work. And I guess the weight of it is to keep the tech from falling over, so it seems really practical and useful. Nice grey metal look, too, so it will look great in his office, which has grey wood walls. Could also be used for kindles, and other book readers, so you could put it next to your bed/chair. Nice item. A+
