Sometimes, when you buy canned jalapeños they are more like a pickle in nature, crisp and brine-y and not very hot. These are not like that. These have a nice little slick of oil on top when you open the container, are soft in texture, and hot and full flavored. These are like the ones I used to get a long time ago from old Mexico.
