Anchor seams to be good quality have not been able to use it yet but will be soon. The problem with this anchor and chain is that the shackles that come with the chain do not fit the anchor they are to narrow to fit over the shank. So unfortunately if you buy this setup you will have to get other shackles for it. Cost for one at tractor supply is about $10 so be prepared. I am giving it 4 stars because of this.

I haven't bought this yet. But in spite of the negative comments from other reviews the anchor seems to have some very desirable features. It's not painted, the ugly coat is heavy? galvanized. The iron is much better than steel or even stainless. It may just be a real gem as it should outlast most of us. The shackles are a typical problem. I have almost 65 years professional experience with anchors. My two cents for what it's worth.

Shackles don't fit at all and the finish looks very ugly unlike the picture in the listing. It's just a metal cast and it doesn't even look like nice paint. Looks and feels like raw metal out of the mold. Whatever paint they put on it is not an even coating it just looks really low quality. I guess it's one of those things you get with you pay for and typically these anchors are well over $150 if you're looking for a budget anchor it's definitely better than nothing but you will still need to buy more hardware to use it so be aware of that if purchasing. Probably going to want to paint it again as well because of how ugly it is.

Really? Another reviewer pointed out that the shackles are too small to attach the chain and the seller hasn’t fixed the problem? In the description pictures the anchor looks beautiful and sleek, like a polished stainless finish. It’s absolutely not. It’s painted, and not well. The shackles don’t fit, so to use it, you’ll have to go buy bigger shackles. It’s heavy is about all it’s got going for it.
