Used this to cover up an old cat door I inherited from former home owners. I used construction adhesive to apply one of these steel patches to the front and backside of the door after I spray-painted them white. Put a small amount of white caulk around the perimeter to get rid of the sharp edges and then brushed a little sanded caulk over the front of it to give it some texture. This was way cheaper than buying a new special order door. Only downside is my dog can’t peek in the kids room to see if they’re awake now lol

If you’re looking to engrave some steel, or make a metal painting, this package of 304 stainless steel could be what you’re looking for (please note the poor engraving in the picture is due to my lack of skills, not the fault of the product!).The sheets are a bit smaller than the average piece of notebook paper, and almost square.I used a hand engraver for my little not-exactly-straight-lined star example, though I think it would quite well for laser engraving.Do note that these are solid sheet, and if you want a hole in one for hanging, you’ll have to make it yourself.

shame on me for not checking first - but 304SS is not magnetic. i'm sad because these sheets are really nice. actually thicker than I planned on, and they come with a protective film on BOTH sides (lit says one side) so when you unwrap them they should be flawless.
