Zodiac Academy 8.5: Beyond the Veil: Zodiac Academy

The twisted sisters are my absolute favorite authors that never fail to weave a beautiful story full of drama, edge of your seat action and just so well written. To laugh out loud and shed actual tears EVERY SINGLE BOOK, and several times at that, in each. Just wow! The rollercoaster of emotions you feel throughout any of their books is just indescribable. I'm such a fan.

4.5 stars- it was a really good book and wild to see the same plot from such a different vantage point. I think it is a must read for the series. Book 8 was my favorite Zodiac book and honestly maybe the best book I have read this year (out of 80 books) I cried through the last 10 percent of book 8.5 because there were moments that were so touching. There were a few side stories that I struggled some to get invested in. But I think it’s because I love and long for the characters from the other books so much and i am Dying for book 9 that I just had a hard time investing in new characters in that moment. This has the same humor and energy as the entire series and it’s really Refreshing to get the point of view of late charters who had been legends in the story that we never got to know from their own perspective .

This book is not only the bridging book from 8 to 9, but this book helps to mesh the bits and pieces that we witnessed in 8 but truly had no idea what was going on. This book? It answers a LOT. It’s for sure the glue that mends not only loose ends but broken bits of our souls after being completely shattered from the previous books.I’m gonna do my very best to talk about vibes alone as to not spoil it!! 🫡This book has less POVs, focusing on a select few characters that I DESPERATELY wanted to learn about - and thankfully I got it!!We see the other side, literally the workings of things beyond the veil, and how these dearly departed gave it their all to protect their loved ones with hearts still beating. I honestly couldn’t put it down. 🤣There were two POV chapters I struggled with, but listen - trust the process. By the end of that second one… I was like 👁️👄👁️ BRUH. We get some really epic lore and facts about things we knew about, but didn’t really KNOW about. It was really cool and an awesome little twist!!This is the first zodiac book in a LONG TIME that didn’t make me break down at the end - this one was honestly a bit lighter than the latest ones too!! I laughed a lot, I did cry, I got second hand embarrassment, and now I’m left feeling hopeful and ready for the final installment of Zodiac Academy. LETS GOOOOOO!!!!

2.5 ⭐️ is generous.2 🌶️The only reason I read this book was so I didn’t miss anything for the final book. This series has gone on for entirely too long. This book in particular is definitely a money, grab it, and didn’t need to be written at all. I’m annoyed at the people that told me that I needed to read this book before reading the final book. I disagree, so if anyone is wondering if it’s necessary, it’s not.Don’t waste your time. It took me three months to get through this book because I was so bored and read several books in between finishing it. Very disappointing.

I loved that it was a bit of a recap with a twist. I love that we were able to see the "other side". I don't want to write anything that spoils it for others, my advice is not to skip this one. Read it!

Took a bit to get into but so many emotions with this series continues. Tears of joy, sadness, and laughter. I’m really hoping the Vegas get a win and it stays that way because I don’t know if I can handle not some sort of HEA after all the hardships, struggles and trauma they have endured.

OOF THIS BOOK. I cannot tell you how happy I was for story after book 8. I loved meeting characters that you hear about a lot but don’t necessarily “meet,” and the world building of how the veil works was so well done. Also one of the FUNNIEST scenes in the entire series from Darius’ POV had me ROLLING. Absolutely loved this little mini-novel! Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Was frustrated to step back and re-read some of these tales at first but honestly the perspective is so freakin interesting. LOVED this story. On to book 9! 📚

Cute, it made me think of heaven and my loved ones there <3 still I think Darius shouldn’t have returned.

I loved absolutely everything about this book! It made me feel every emotion just like every other ZA story and I didn’t want it to end. Such a great idea to do a beyond the veil, it was really cool to get to know some of the characters that we would have never gotten otherwise.Can we get a BTV look at every book now?A surprise from the book is how much I love Azriel Orion, I mean I shouldn’t have been surprised as his son owns my heart but he was A+ and his comments on Lance’s relationships were amazing.I could gush all day about this book but instead I’ll just say read it and enjoy!

This series is way beyond my wildest dreams.....The action, adventures, from pain, heartbreak, revenge to love, friendship and all the emotions in between....this series has it all.Seriously, i haven't finished reading the series and I'm already planning re-reads.

I've never come across any authors who can make me physically laugh, cry, and turn my world upside down like these two can. Genuine belly laughs at some parts, and big fat tears on my cheeks at others.I was sceptical about this book as knowing it took place along the exact same time line as book 8, I didnt think it would hold my attention well - already knowing what was going to happen to the characters I know and love.I stand corrected and The Twisted Sisters did it again! I loved every second and even with scenes I had already seen before, a different perspective gave them a new lease of life.This is lower level spice than the others. Maybe only 1 or 2 scenes total but it doesn't need it, as it isnt about that. Anyone who has made it this far in the series I would hope is so invested in the story that they don't care about less for the sake of one book.I dont know what else to say. Just wow. WOW! Please never stop writing!
