Measurements refer to the paper size, not the overall size
Disappointed this didn't work because the paper quality and cover were nice. But the measurements refer to the paper size, not the overall size with the cover. So a simple improvement to the product description would avoid the disappointment and hassle of returns. Bottom line, the overall size was too large for my leather case. (it's a Levenger, whom I've since abandoned for their lousy customer service and the fact that their very nice leather goods tend to be sized so only their proprietary and high-priced refills fit). But as for this book, it's an overall nice item especially if you're using it as a standalone journal.
