This is the perfect alternative for people who are renting and may not have a fridge with an ice maker or can’t afford a fancy new fridge. It’s pretty easy to use and lasts me a while without having to constantly empty the trays for more ice cubes. I just empty it once a day if I feel like it so the ice is never really low. It also fits and stacks conveniently in your fridge due to the rectangular shape. The only thing I would say is that when refilling you may get a little water on the surface you’re using when you close the trays but it’s not a huge deal. I honestly love this, it’s so aesthetic and better than traditional ice trays.

Can be very messy, but I fill the trays in my sink to avoid the mess on my countertop. If you pour the water directly on the button in the middle, it doesn’t splash and is much easier. I have found if I press the water out, then remove the top and pour the excess water off, then replace the top again, I don’t have as much water on the top of the tray and it is easier to twist and remove the ice balls once frozen. The ice isn’t as soft as the countertop ice maker we had previously, but we had two and both broke within 6 months. This is a much smaller investment and the results are well worth the price.

Item is very sturdy and comes with a ice scooper. The only thing I don't like is that it takes a very long time to freeze. Try not to overflow the chambers with water as the excess water on top of the ice tray will freeze as well. Then you have to break it into pieces. If you don't fill it up all the way, you will get 1/2 size of the ice balls. A little difficult to pop out the ice balls into the container. If you are looking to get a lot of ice cubes, sorry to break your bubble, but you may only get enough ice balls for about 4 drinks, then you have to start the process over again and wait at least 15 hours for these to freeze (I don't know why it takes so long to freeze)?. I would recommend to get at least 2 sets so you have a back of ice while the new batch is freezing. Overall, these are very cute to have little balls floating in my drink. The balls don't last that long frozen because the balls are tiny and small. These balls are great to pop into your mouth to chew on or let it melt in your mouth and swallow it.

I LOVE this thing. I finally have “nugget” ice for my cocktails without spending $300-$600 or schlepping to Sonic. It takes a little trial and error to get it right, but we’re talking only a trial or two here. One thing I figured out is when you press the water out, don’t try to pour out the excess water that ends up on top of the tray. The water in the ice balls will also pour out the holes, resulting in messy/cracked shapes. Also, I’m pretty sure the instructions say to fill the tray with 200ml of water is there for a reason. I’m assuming filling it by sight may result in too little/much water and cause problems with shapes and release.To those complaining it’s too messy, why are you filling this outside of the sink? And don’t press so hard (or overfill) and the water won’t shoot up to the ceiling. And have a towel ready to set the tray on top of to wipe the bottom. No more mess.My only critique is that it says it takes only three hours to freeze, but I’ve found that it takes much longer for them to freeze solid. I think part of this is because they’re covered and even more so when you stack the trays. Not enough of that cold ambient air circulating around it. Same for if your freezer is filled to the brim. That’s my theory. Anyway, I love this!

I recommend this ice cube tray. Love the size it makes. I will say the trays are not a strongest plastic so be careful when getting the ice cubes out. My one tray cracked already. It took filling all 4 trays up 2 times to fill the container it comes with. So the container does hold a lot of ice cubes.

Es geben ganz tolle kleine Kugeln. Das Einzige das mich stört ist, dass sich beim Befüllen immer Wasser oben drauf sammelt, was dort natürlich auch gefriert und dann immer mit rein fällt.Ist aber Meckern auf Hohem Niveau, daher volle Sterne :)
