Not a well built saw
Not happy with this purchase, the main support from top to bottom has too much play and not sturdy, cant cut without the blade wanting to travel, and saw table also has too much play

Whoever assembled it needs to be retrained
I had to spend over an hour re doing the blade set up and modifying the upper door cover saftyshut off mechanism. Otherwise it seems like a good enough tool for my purposes

Powerful, Safe-ish, Butter Cuts
I've never used one of these table-top band saws before. Putting it together took a little time. You put the table on and mount it with three hex screws. You then attach two more nuts to secure the front together. I couldn't get it to 0 degrees quickly on the gauge; I had to reduce the limiter nut to nothing to get what I would call zero.Once I fired it up, the saw was quiet enough. Its screeching noises are slightly unsettling as if the blade is rubbing. But there are many things at work to keep the blade tight on your work.I tried cutting a small, round piece of wood, and it moved through it like butter. It's so much different than a radial saw. I put the guide up high and cut a 2 1/2-inch round piece. This is where I got the most important part of feedback. If this saw catches, it doesn't stop. The rubberized flywheels continue to push the saw blade even if blocked. This is surprising because the saw will not start up if you have either the top or bottom open. Now, I didn't remove a star for that. A blade stop feature is an advanced feature that this saw doesn't have. But it was concerning that the rubber wheel quickly rubbed against the metal blade. You could break the saw if you aren't quick to cut the power in a jam situation. I'll avoid cutting pieces that tall in the future. Go slow and steady if you can.The foam in the product box marked up the power cord; I don't know why. It had white splotches on it. This is cosmetic; if anything, the extra foam helps the cord.Four stars for what this is. Some apparent features here could be better, and it doesn't have advanced features. But it's good enough for four.
