I bought this stainless steel flat beater for my 5 qt, heavy-duty Kitchenaid mixer. The original plastic-coated flat beater saw years of use and batches of cookies before the plastic chipped away noticeably. This new stainless steel flat beater weighs more than I expected. It fits neatly into the motor head slot with less clearance once seated in the mixing bowl. I like this. I no longer find unmixed dough at the bottom of the mixing bowl, and it’s easier to clean.If you're looking for a solid, uncoated flat beater for your KitchenAid mixer, this flat beater is an excellent choice. I don’t anticipate replacing this beater again.

I bought this to replace the beater on my 25 year old KitchenAid mixer from Costco where the white coating was flaking off. It works great and easy to clean. I had a difficult time finding a replacement for my mixer but this one works great, better than the original.

I have a 5qt bowl-lift KitchenAid that I bought at Costco years ago. I wanted to replace the original flat beater with a stainless steel one, but most do not fit the Costco models. I'm happy to confirm that this fits the Costco KG25 model that I have. The overall height and width of this are almost identical to the original one but the proportions are a bit different. The second pic is a little deceiving as it makes the old beater look wider, but it's really not. So far, I have only done a quick test to see it running in the bowl to confirm that it fits. Will update when I have a chance to use it.

This is a study, clean, and durable addition. Unlike the painted one that came with our mixer, the stainless steel beater does not chip and generally seems easier to clean. I highly recommend this.

It's great in most ways, except it's just not quite as large as the one it replaced. By a significant margin. But, it does work well, it's sturdy and easy to clean and all that. Just feels like you're scraping the bowl a little more often with this one. I have the 6qt KitchenAid stand mixer with the bowl lift, for reference.Really shouldn't have had to replace the original, but why they decided to put powder coating on it that could chip off....... who knows.

When making a cake last week, I had a difficult time engaging my white-coated original Kitchen Aid beater on the spring (a K5SS series which must be about 35 years old). This was a new development as I use my mixer most days. I also noticed the beater was flaking off a little in my batter. Absolutely not acceptable!So I went on the Kitchen Aid website and saw the stainless steel beaters. Then I went on Amazon to find my beater replacement and read all the reviews. While it was considered a bit expensive, I love my Kitchen Aid mixer; I use it all the time and also love the stainless steel whip attachment I use for meringue. So I bought the beater above for a lift mixer. I thought the cost well worth it.The day it came I made a Melt in Your Mouth Blueberry Cake with it. What a superior beater! My cake came out perfectly, even higher and lighter than usual, I think. I actually think this beater performs better than the original. It fit perfectly with my bowl and on my rather ancient mixer (which still works perfectly). I recommend this beater highly. I have also purchased a second 5 qt-6qt bowl from Amazon and all the attachments have fit perfectly with the replacements and originals.I value the Amazon reviews--they often guide my purchases--and I had to recommend this product.

I bought this because it says it is dishwasher safe, but it really isn’t. The first time I washed it in the dishwasher, it oxidized and now is covered in grey residue. Really disappointed.

Good performance

J'au du faire une très légère coupe aux ciseaux sur les côtés car la forme n'était pas identique au profil du bol du batteur. Mais à part ça, ça fonctionne vraiment bien. Il ne m'est plus nécessaire de râcler le bol avec une spatule. J'ai un batteur Cuisinart SM-50. C'était le batteur dont la forme se rapprochait le plus du mien.
