I was a little worried about this product not preforming well but i’m actually suprised it does everything I need it to do for ps5.This also has no issue when using 120 hertz works great would recommend to anyone with ps5.

The media could not be loaded.  This product works almost perfectly and it really gave life to my old receiver with HDMI2.1. 4K120hz works great with atmos audio being output and the quality of the atmos is great and better than what the compressed 5.1 I was being forced to use earlier was.However while gaming with VRR on my PS5 I noticed when the range was in 80-90hz it would have weird glitches on the screen making in unplayable. I ordered 2 of these to make sure it wasn’t a 1 off occurrence but it happened on both. I would’ve likely kept this for when gaming on my PC however with the price this currently sits at it is too expensive for a product that does not work with my needs.I would recommend this to anyone not using VRR specifically. If they can fix this issue I’d gladly buy this product and it’d be a great investment to not have to buy a new receiver when mine is only missing 4K120 and nothing else the new ones offer.

This is a very complicated little box. I tried everything to get it to work with my equipment. I have all the right components. My bluray player and receiver is 4K and my projector is 4K compatible. All my HDMI cables are HDCP compliant. I have my xbox and my 4K player connected just fine through the optical audio port but when I tried connecting this box it all stopped working. I tried changing the inputs and using HDMI - still nothing. I went back to optical - nothing. I tried changing the EDID switch as well - TV, 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1, and still nothing. PCM? Nothing. The image was fine but no audio. I then disconnected everything and made the necessary changes in my receiver just to make sure my older connections were OK. They worked just fine as before. Not sure what I was doing wrong but it shouldn't be this hard to get this box to work. I couldn't do it and had to return it for a different model.

Needed an optical audio output from my PS5 to go with my 19 year old receiver. Works like a charm!

I connected this from my xbox to my new 4k tv and to my older receiver for sound. The biggest problem with this unit is every time I choose a streaming service on my xbox the unit loses signal and I have to power cycle it to get it back. I bought this to try to get better sound from my xbox by using 5.1 uncompressed but found there is not much of a difference than running an optical cable. For those reasons I am returning this item. I do not recommend getting this item.

I’ve been looking for the right converter for me.There are so many similar converters out there that I was struggling to know which one to choose.But this product is by far the most complete information I’ve seen.The price is also the most worthy of the function s. I think I will go for this HDMI audio extractor for my Dolby Audio equipment.
