Messy, lots of waste
Whilst this is very sharp and does do the job intended, it’s also very fiddly . You need to use pressure against the blade with all spiralisers but with this one, the machine slips across the work surface Under even the smallest amount of pressure, and the suction cups don’t stay firm, You can’t get it to work unless you pinch the parts together manually through finger and thumb at the same time as you push the vegetable through. So u less you have exceptionally long fingers, you have to cut the vegetables into smaller chunks . The machine doesn’t spiralise. Top to tail either and at least an inch or so of vegetable is left as stump on the machine on each pass, so the more pieces.you have to cut the vegetable into, the more you waste. It’s messy and fiddly to clean afterwards and simply not worth the effort. When you want something you can just whip out of the cupboard to quickly spiralise an apple for the kids, you don’t want to have to spend ten minutes stripping down a plastic mound of parts and blades. Also, to state that you can make noodles or spaghetti using this machine is stretching the truth as this machine doesn’t spiralise anywhere near as fine as spaghetti or noodles. Messy, fiddly and a lot of waste...far to much faffing around for a novelty .
