This was a long distance birthday present for a 6 year old girl. I was told by her grandmother that she loved creating fashion with the toy.

Not something I care to do.

My 2 year old loves it! showed immediate interest and enthusiasm for repeating the words. Cards a sturdy enough for her to handle. Would recommend and plan to purchase more for gifts

Our 8 year old granddaughter loves this kit. Great Christmas gift. Keeps her busy and off the screen.

I needed an activity for my 8 year old daughter to keep her off a screen this summer. She loves to draw and make outfits, so I thought she would like this. So far she does--she spent a couple of hours playing with it yesterday. I love that it comes with the plates so you can mix an match outfits--that part is fun--picking what top should go with what bottom and she also has fun rubbing the crayon over it to make the design. Picking what plates to use and then rubbing over it with the black crayon is definitely her favorite part. She had no problem doing it. She gets a little bored coloring in the outfits, but I think if she were doing this with a friend, she would have fun. I do feel like there could have been more plates or the plates could have been double-sided to give more outfit choices. Also, the designs, after rubbing over them, never come out completely clean--there are always black marks somewhere. I think the price is a little expensive--it is not that high quality. However, overall, this is a fun toy and different from other toys I've seen in the store. She is having fun and I think it is something my daughter will play with on occasion, especially with friends!

My five and seven year old granddaughters learned how to use this toy in a matter of minutes. It is very easy to use. The kit comes with different fashion plates that you put into the holder. Then you place a piece of paper on top of the plates. The kit comes with four black crayons and a crayon holder. All I had to do then was show the girls how to rub the crayon across the paper and the image of the fashion plates shows up. Then the girls were able to use the colored pencils, that came with the kit, to color the pages. The girls had so much fun changing the different outfits and hairdos for the pages to color. This is fun and easy to use for young ones. I think five years old is probably the youngest that would truly be able to use this toy easily. The holder holds the paper in place for tracing. The only problem we had was the five year old had trouble opening the holder. After a few tries she got the hang of it. This is a great toy and will be used a lot.

I had one of these when I was younger so knew I wanted to get it as soon as I saw it! My niece (6 years old) *loves* it, and even her brother (who is 9) will put a few designs together. The plates are great quality, and you can use any crayon/pencil if/when needed - it does come with some. It does also come with paper, you can easily cut more when needed.I really like that you can also use the board as a stand (and storage), my niece likes to show off her designs!This is a really fun thing for all of us to spend some time doing, I highly recommend it!
