I'm very pleased with these sturdy storage boxes which have (up to) 36 compartments each.The horizontal dividers can be removed in pairs, so you can configure the number and size of compartments to some extent. However some of the dividers cannot be moved.It's supplied as 36 compartments of approx 1.7in x 1in (43mm x 27mm), which (I think!) is a volume of approx 47.6cm (cubed). In other words, a volume of 0.0476 litres.Or, you can configure it to have just six compartments that are 6.7 inches (170mm) long, but they still can't be more than 1in (2.54 cm) wide.You can also have a mixture of small and large compartments to suit your needs.The plastic on the removable dividers is fairly sturdy but it is not quite as sturdy as the plastic on the non-removable parts, which is very solid indeed.Most people use these for craft items such as beads or ribbons etc. We are going to use them for Lego Dots tiles, but basically anything small works (although you'd be surprised how many seed beads even the smallest compartment will hold).The plastic, integral clasp and plastic hinges are reasonably strong also, but if past experience is anything to go by, it probably will the part that fails. Eventually. Depending on the amount of use and care taken.I'm very happy with these, I'm pleased there are two supplied, and would buy more because I do like to look at them on the shelf. Matching uniformly. All the time.

I got this for organising sewing threads for my embroidery projects (though you can of course use them for other things such as beads, jewellery, fishing hooks and nuts and bolts etc, etc).The dividers are removable so while each compartment looks small you can make them bigger and give yourself more space if you need to by adjusting them.Lightweight and durable.Really handy for organising things.Recommended and you get two of them so the price is pretty good too.
