In Session with Carlos Santana (Guitar Tab): Guitar Tab, Book & CD

This is a great product with great tuition.

Great book about a very good musicians' music. I like this series of books,The book has the usual clear tab that you would expect from this range of books, and the cd offers lots of help by first giving you the song with the guitar part and then without to allow you to play along.This is a great way to learn at your own pace, take your time Santana's music is never easy but it is playable with practice.For the price you can't go wrong, add it to your library for any time reference

After several years of what can best described as noodling on the guitar I decided to have some lessons, this coupled with the fact Samba Pa ti is one of my favourite Sanatana pieces, one of the projects I have been set is to learn it. Having got some Tabs of internet sites, which were wrong, this book seemed the natural way to go its is useful having the notation so you know the length of notes, and the pages or clear and easy to read. On of the things I find particularly attractive is the discussion on how and why the solo builds as it does, not for every one, but I like a bit of theory. The CD is really useful, whith its half speed solo, and just rythm tracks. I find it a joy to use.

Had expected a little more but did the basics, having said that it would be good for peoples first intro to Santana

Total Rip Off..... shame on you Carlos.Would not even give one star unless you are an experienced musician. This is definitely not for beginners in any way shape or form.The 'tablature key' has about 5 of 20 key I have seen before. They are badly explained at best. Then their is the actual music. If you have gone around the web a used tabs this is nothing like that. So be prepared to spend a LOT of time trying to figure it out, probably music lessons will be needed so you can speak to someone who might have a clue. The sad part is all this nonsense is so unnecessary. This could have been done so much better. Surprised Carols ok's this if he did.The CD has 20 files on that are just the songs (regular speed, slow speed, crappy background. Every thing in this book including the book have been made for security so you can not copy. So you have to carry the stinking book around or the stupid CD.Again "Total rips off".

Well written, Tabs and Clef Music easy to read and follow, CD helps out a lot and give one a good feel of Santan's style.
