Way smaller than expected
Nice cool air within 12-18” from product. WILL NOT cool down a room. Ice in trays or freeze filter ahead of time, extends time of “cool” air, but not by much. Water reservoir was broken when arrived. Do not recommend. I’m sure there are better products out there

My Preliminary Experiences in the First Few Days
A few lessons I’ve learned in just the first few days of owning this product:1. This product won’t substitute for a busted in-home AC unit. If you need to cool down an enclosed room, such as a garage, bedroom, or home office, it will accomplish that. It blows enough cool air to chill most enclosed rooms by five to seven degrees, which can make a world of difference in these times when global temperatures continue rising. But it doesn’t have enough power to make more than a fiddling difference in a large space, such as even a small apartment.2. The instruction manual was clearly written by someone who doesn’t speak English as a first language. It misses a few important steps and has no troubleshooting section, and even what it does describe, the language is frequently clunky and ambiguous. Expect to spend a little time monkeying with the bits to get everything working. This won’t be difficult or time-consuming, and in fact it will come together for you quickly, but you’ll hit a couple of speed bumps on the way.2a. Closely related to this, when I first began using it, I grew frustrated because the water wasn’t moving from the reservoir. Because this is an evaporative cooler, it requires constant water moving over the filter for the evaporation to actually happen. Without that, the water didn’t move, and the filters dried out. It took a couple of days before I figured out that I didn’t have the filter piece locked all the way in, and apparently there’s a safety preventing the system from running without that piece locked in. Once I found that, it finally began working as advertised.3. Once I overcame these hiccups (I almost gave up, but didn’t), I found it definitely works. You get the greatest benefit, not standing directly in front of it, but about four to six feet away. The fan blows a cone of air, chilled by evaporation off the filters, straight out from the grill, so if you’re using it in your bedroom or home office, you’ll have best results placing it on a shelf near where you prefer to sit or lie down. The cooled air won’t give you frostbite, but it will cool the air around you by five to seven degrees.4. Be prepared to add water frequently, possibly several times a day. The reservoir is small, and even if you run the cooler on the lowest setting, it will consume all your water in four to six hours. Considerably less if you run it on higher settings. I’ve been surprised by how little electricity it requires, despite having a fan, a small water pump, and LED indicator lights. But what it doesn’t use in electricity, it uses in water, and you will need to replenish the reservoir frequently.5. Because the device works via evaporation, it won’t work in a muggy environment. If the air is too humid for evaporation, there’s nowhere for the water in the cooler to go, and the whole thing will turn sluggish and unresponsive. Especially if you’re using it in a space that generally isn’t connected to your HVAC system, such as your garage, you will absolutely need a dehumidifier working on the other side of the room, or else you’ve paid for a small, square fan.6. For all my bellyaching about getting it started and needing to refill it, I’ll say it certainly does work. I live in an older apartment with a frequently unreliable AC system, and my home office could easily become too oppressive to work in. (I’m writing during a summer of record-setting temperatures worldwide.) Placing this device about six feet from my working space has made a world of difference; I don’t feel like I’ve sweated like a marathon runner after pulling a few hours seated at my desk.In short, I had some clunky experiences working with it for the first few days, and had myself fully prepared to write a cranky review. Then suddenly, everything clicked, the process made sense, and I found myself working in a much more tolerable space, no longer overcome by heat. Like any other tool, this one works beautifully if you know how to use it, and if you show it the respect it requires. The instructions, sometimes clumsy, don’t always say everything you need to know, but you’ll figure it out quickly enough. And once you do, you’ll notice the difference in your space right away.

Typical "Made in China" Quality.
Just opened the box and the low quality is evident immediately. Cheap plastic parts don't fit good. Charger doesn't smoothly fit into port of unit. The air flow is cool but even on high is not enough to cool even a small office. I do not recommend wasting your time and money on this product. Amazon should be more transparent about where a product is manufactured so that low quality made in China products can be avoided. Update: After a couple of weeks use I have some new comments. The unit cools surprisingly well. However, it leaks badly while running. It requires the placement of at least 10 paper towels underneath it to soak up all the water that leaks during a one tank cycle.

DON’T BUY - Over priced humidifier
I just wanted something to keep my small bedroom cooler at night because I’ve been having trouble sleeping without spending tons of money. This product had a good rating and the reviews were great so I bought it. Big mistake. The filter looks like cut up pieces of thick felt which the instructions say you can put in the dishwasher to clean. And it’s supposed to be a sterilizing filter? You have to be right in front of it to feel any coolness. The only positive thing …it can be used as a humidifier. I wish I could return it. So save your money unless you want an overpriced humidifier.

Not all is cracked up to be.
Water from a reservoir located at the top of the unit flows downward, soaking a filter. A fan located behind the filter pushes air though it. In the reservoir, ice cubes can be added to increase the chilling effect. For me, it hardly does anything. To have any affect, the unit must not be placed on a floor, because cooled air sinks. There is a slight feeling of cooling.

Disappointed
I was looking forward using this at my desk to keep cool during this Texas summer. But was so disappointed that this thing has no power for the air flow. I sit inches from the vent and barely few a thing no relief 😣

Did not work!
It would not drain the water. If it did it is still not a very good way to try to cool anything!

Would work well at a desk
Bought this for my daughter’s room, hoping it would help keep it cooler at night. I think it would work better cooling someone off that works at a desk…in a cubicle. The fan was good in it, it pushed the cool air but wasn’t what I expected. Be sure to read the dimensions as it is small

Much smaller than expected
Item was much smaller than expected. I can't really give it a review because we didn't even try it. There is no way that this would cool off any room. It probably would be fine for an individual sitting directly next to it. We returned it unopened.

standing in front of it might cool you down
This didn't cool down a room in anyway. You have to stand right in front of it to feel cool air, but I would not count on it to cool down even a tiny box.

Glorified fan
The breeze is slightly cooler when you put ice water in it, but other than that this is just a little bedside fan. Not worth the price. Spend your money elsewhere

Absolute Trash
I just rated it 5 stars so my one star review wouldn’t be hidden where y’all wouldn’t see it. Just got this thing today, hoping it’s be a decent personal fan to sit on a bedside table. It leaks like crazy and barely huffs air at you. Ever cleared your throat with your hand in front of your face? That’s the temperature and blow feel to this thing. Warm and wet. Don’t waste your time, honestly, get a stand alone AC, they’re like 150-300 bucks but MUCH more worth it.

Dude I don't even know.
This thing keeps leaking water. I turn around for one second and I have a lake behind me. I should've worn my bathing suit because I almost drowned. In all seriousness, this was a quick return- the only upside. Barely cooled me, leaked water like it had a hole, noise was alright but all of those things shouldn't matter unless u really wanted to buy a pool.

This is smaller than you think
If I would have known that this thing was about the size of a tissue box, I would have realized there is no way it can cool a room. Unless it's a room for mice!I slept with this thing for three nights, and I had to have a huge fan on in addition to it. Turning off this think did not make the room warmer.I wish I could give it zero stars.

No
I was really disappointed in this product. I did everything the instructions told me to to get the coldest air and it felt like nothing. Did not make my room any cooler at all. Returned this.
