Small and portable
Love the replaceable AA batteries and the readout I just take it and put it on the floor or table and leave it there to see what if any CO2 gas is there, great portable device.

This is hard to rate because it has it hasn't gone off but everyone feels good. The display shows everything ok. I got it for when we lose power and start up the generator.

Great value for an often overlooked safety item for your house!
Carbon monoxide detectors are often an overlooked safety item in most households. Listening to the news the other night, they found a family of 3 in my town that had succumb to carbon monoxide poisoning. This detector is a small price to pay for your families safety. We have a couple CO detectors in our house, near our bedrooms and in our kitchen. I ordered this one to put in my garage since I tend to work in there quite a bit and I keep the doors closed during the winter. I don't run the vehicles with the door closed, but we do have a couple water heaters and furnace in the garage, so I want to make sure that I am alarmed for and CO levels. What I like about this detector is that it actually gives you a measurement in PPM on the screen. Based on the amount of CO it detects, it will alarm. These are the alarm levels:30 ppm for 120 min50 ppm for 60-90 min100 ppm for 10-40 min300 ppm for 3 minThis is batter powered and has a life expectancy of 10 years. That is the life of the unit and not the battery. I'm not sure how long the battery lasts, but there is an indicator on the display.Highly recommended!
