I like the fact that it is larger than most receptacles and looks very smart. It works well and the top opens outward so you don’t have to worry about getting anything on the outside. Worth the money.

I bought this trashcan last may and loved it. It’s the only one I could find with butterfly lids that open down, it’s perfect for the space I needed it to fit.After about half a year, the lid stopped closing all the way. I reached out to the manufacturer and after a bit of time, they sent me a new lid free! Unsure how long it’ll last but I’m very satisfied and excited to keep using it.

Basically I really like this 10.6 gallon garbage can. I like the fact that when it opens, it stays open for a bit. Also it is very quiet and is working very well. On the instructions, the placement of the batteries was confusing. I figured it out though. I like the way that the garbage bag is held open. The shape of the can is slender and can fit in tight spaces. The only con with this is getting the garbage bag out of the can. The sides have plastic holders for the bag but those holders reduce the space to get the bag out. Particularly with the bags that came with the garbage can, the bag can tear when taking it out. You cannot overfill the bag. I keep some of the garbage on my counter and once the bag is out of the can I then can add more garbage. My previous garbage can was 13 gallon, so I do have to take the garbage out more often. I wish a 13 gallon can was available.

I have white kitchen cabinets with black knobs. This garbage can in white with a black lid is perfect! It's nice looking with a sleek and functional butterfly lid. I had my doubts about the battery life, but I have had the same batteries in for two months now (opening and closing tons of times a day) and they're still going strong! I also love how you don't see the garbage bag hanging over the side of the can. Here's the trick to putting the bag in: 1) Take the black plastic oblong piece that is inside at the top of the can out and set it aside. 2) Put a garbage bag in (I use 13 gallon) and leave about 3 inches over the top side of the can (it's going to be tight, but don't worry) 3) Put the black plastic oblong piece back onto the top of the can 4) Take the 3 inches of garbage bag and pull it back down over the black plastic piece and into the inside of the can. Maybe it's a little more work putting a bag in compared to a regular can, but it is sleek, neat and awesome! You'll love it if you like a clean look.

I read the reviews prior to buying and one in particular rang true. There is a lip on the inside of the can that makes it extremely difficult to remove a full trash bag. It actually rips the bag often when trying to pull it out. And I usually need someone to hold the can down when removing the full bag. Also, the sensor seems extremely sensitive. I put the can in a pullout drawer and it seems like the motion of closing it under the counter triggers the sensor. It drains the battery as a result.

Love this trashcan, Really well made and nice looking too. The packaging was exceptional, no worries about shipping damage. The unit doesn't take up a lot of room which is what we were looking for. The opening sensor is great too, no more having to touch the trashcan lid!

Overall, awesome!Pros.Batteries last about 2 months with a lot of usage.10 quart size makes it so much sleeker and less noticeable than the full size 13Q cans. Accepts a standard 13Q kitchen bag.Quiet and smooth operation.Cons.It does take some trial and error to get the bags in so they don't show on the outside, didn't think their directions were much help, but that might be just me.It can be a bit difficult to get the garbage bag out sometimes, but I think the major cause is filling up a 13 quart bag in a 10 Q container. If I don't overfill it, then really no problem.

The trash can lid stayed open when I put it under the counter. I taped a flat black piece of plastic under the counter above the sensor and that fixed the issue. A piece of flat black construction paper would work. It cannot be gloss black. Flat black absorbs light. Before, I had to leave can sticking out in the isle and then it would occasionally open when I walked by. This irritated me and I almost left a poor rating. I bought this product because the lid of other cans with foot pedals would hit the counter top. Now, I love this trach can. The trash bag is easy to install and remove. The manufacturer should add a piece of flat black construction paper with instruction for this issue.
